Gorgeous dress! I love the contrast of the grassy green fabric, the full skirt, and the cute sleeves!

Lovely dress.
The deco lampshade hat is extra cool.
The gentleman also looks great.
Good hat on him.
I'm leaning hard toward retrovintage these days.
Thanks for the pix, Sarto.

I love it! The hat, the silhouette, even the pose, very New Look, but with a modern touch.

great dress. great couple! their look doesn't scream "store-bought" - meaning they are not slaves to fashion. great style maybe.

That is so fantastic. Usually the women's fashions on your blog are really not my thing, but I love this photo.

You do realise that this dress is being discussed to the bitter end at dressaday? Someone please find this woman and let Erin know whether you made the dress/altered it/bought the fabric or inserted the green into an already made dress. She may go crazy otherwise!!!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:14 PM) :

this is for Helen:
i am the woman in that dress. and please tell Erin it is a 1950's vintage couture Oleg Cassini, worn in homage to the great designer.

exquisite dress :: color juxtaposition and the mini swathing action on the waist, then flowing into the side seam panel :: beautiful

and the collar :: what can be said?

Simply gorgeous!

I adore this dress; she has such a well-defined waist and the grassy-green accentuates it perefectly!
