Monday Morning

Jil, Prada, Burberry and 3 hours sleep last night. McQueen this morning and shooting "on the street". No taking photos of Miuccia or Raf backstage! Apparently no sleep makes me write in sentence fragments - oh wait I always write in sentence fragments - I think I just wrote a run-on. I will stop now

For a second, I thought the girl in the third picture was Sienna Miller.

Loving the matching goldtones in the first photograph! Her wide smile seems to reflect a somewhat flamboyant personality, just as the color choice indicates.

Looking forward to your blog posts on Style!

what are the keys to these ladies pulling such outfits off? their shoes? Because these would all make me look fat. I'm average. I think they are average too, only.....they pull this off? What is the key?! It must be the shoes.

I ADORE the apron dress! Is that Strenesse?
Great choice of shoes, too. Flats wouldn't have worked. Thanks to MIU MIU for bringing back the T-shirt underneath a dress look (but so much more sophisticates than in the late 90ies! Anyone remember Clueless?)

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:08 AM) :

the man with white t-shirt is gorgeous

Did you get a new camera? Because the quality of the photos looks better...nice and shallow depth of field.
Suits you! ;)

When is the men.style.com blog coming up? Looking forward to it.

I like the dress of the 3rd lady. Is it mui mui?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:48 AM) :

Is this the true street style in Milan or are you shooting the "clothes" crowd.

Everyone looks too beautiful to be everyday people on the street. Puts New York to shame.

WE NEED TO BRING BACK STYLE TO THE EVERYDAY PERSON!!!!!

Cute dress on the Kirsten Dunst lookalike. Apparently gold sandals are hot in Milan! I may have to meditate on that today.

Smoking girl: she might as well be standing outside of the Sigma Chi house on Sunday morning. She's rocking the Walk of Shame look.

You look fabalus. Way to represent!

Blogger SophieA said ... (9:41 AM) :

Sounds like you are having the best time of your life! Can't wait to hear all about your adventure in Milan :)

sigh, swoon, totally having wanderlust feelings. The women are truly bellisima, gosh - colour, moxy, the whole deal. Waiting for the seasoned belladonnas and the hot italian men w/ baited breath... ;)

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:11 AM) :

She does look like Sienna, hey Sartorialist, you´re male right?

Blogger Unknown said ... (10:30 AM) :

to What's Her Face @ 5:18 , I think it is the shoes ... heels always give a slender leg ..... the secret to my success !!!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:47 PM) :

Waou! You're such an elegant man! Attentive with the least detail: you've chosen a cup matched with your shirt! ;)

I love your blog!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:51 PM) :

i want to say you have a sweet eye. but what you have is an eye for sweetness :)

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:16 PM) :

to Anonymous 7:48 .... agreed... we need to bring back STYLE to NY.... sneakers and flip-flops must go !!!

Blogger bethyb said ... (3:37 PM) :

The second dress, the spotted one, is from Forever 21 (less than $30). I have the same one. or else the Forever 21 version is a very good designer copy!

Blogger Unknown said ... (4:18 PM) :

The head covering on the first woman is quite smart. And I agree with those who are digging the shoe styles. Gold is lovely!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:00 PM) :

You must have men's fashion overload....all these pics have been women.

Blogger Anastasia said ... (5:49 PM) :

Me too, faith - at first glance i thought it was Sienna miller too!

Im loving all the diverse looks - it really shows individual style.
I find in Sydney if a trend is in, everyone will wear it the same way - boring....
Love love love polka dots!
have u overdosed on coffee yet?? at least its great Italian coffee

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:22 PM) :

Re: the adorable blonde in dots: don'tcha think Forever 21 is doing knock-offs of designer dresses? honey, that's their JOB! it\s hard to tell what brand it is. i saw the same pattern in Zara last week, but the length was longer. don't care either way... dots are fresh and fab!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:34 PM) :

The women look really fabulous, its nice to see that you don't have to be reed thin to look good in clothes

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:35 PM) :

I have to say: The girls look amazing but you, sir, look fantastic.
