She looks like a woman in a Vermeer painting turning to look at the viewer in the face. Lovely in its richness and simplicity, and a wonderful photograph.

Blogger Lady Apple said ... (2:00 PM) :

the dress looks kind of like a nightgown to me...

Blogger Carissa Duhamel said ... (5:59 PM) :

That dress is beautiful, but more than anything this is a fantastic picture. You are a very talented photographer!

Blogger annie said ... (7:53 PM) :

she's lovely

Blogger Julia said ... (9:13 PM) :

Love these kinds of dresses, and that simple look, it's very me.

Did you see my photo of lauren Hutton or the photos i did outside the Derek lam show on Style.com. Plenty of women of all ages. Check the top photo at Donna Karan - she looks great!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:35 PM) :

Oh, I adore this. So serene, so beautiful, all of it.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:29 PM) :

Does anyone know where the dress is from?

Blogger MARIA H said ... (9:33 PM) :

I think is ZERO by Maria Cornejo.

Blogger get zapped said ... (4:03 PM) :

Guess each to their own. Looks like a fancy nightgown to me ;-]

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:14 AM) :

definitely ZERO by Maria Cornejo.

and she is absolutely gorgeous. even better in real life.

Oh! That woman used to work for one of the magazines in Australia. I'm drawing a blank. Cosmo, or Cleo I think! I always thought she was pretty, and that's a lovely dress.

Blogger seawallrunner said ... (1:23 PM) :

the photo is lovely. well lit, well composed.

however, the look is not. she does look like she just climbed out of bed.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:33 AM) :

gannet-guts you are right, I think this is Kirsten Rawson, who used to work for a mag in Australia and now works in New York. She is a childhood family friend, and yes a beautiful person!
