I was slightly surpised by how much I liked it - he is always good but this was better than I expected.

What did we think about the Derek Lam show?
I was slightly surpised by how much I liked it - he is always good but this was better than I expected.

I think Derek Lam is such a sweet person and a really good designer. But some of these looks remind me a little too much of Marni. I think it goes beyond just a little Marni influence and makes half the show seem a little derivative for me. But I am still rooting for Derek!
Great collection -- he loosened up a bit and it really suits him. Tons of wearable and still elegant clothes.
I'm still working on getting past staring at this woman's face. Delicious...
it reminds me a bit fo some previosu calvin klein collections--- especiallyt eh sue of color int eh bands adb gernal blocks. it s a great fresh take on minimalsim.

Most of what I've seen on the shows appear to be muted grays and browns which is nice but after a long gray winter - I usually want color. So, I have to say bravo (!) because these colors are lovely. In addition to that, the cut and shape of the dress is gorgeous.
Oh Derek Lam is lust.
He just does what he always manages to do - amazing work.
