i love this look...except for the socks.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:09 PM) :

Freezing is never a good look. Clutching yourself, she probably needed another layer.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:18 PM) :

Lovely picture. It has a very Robert Doisneau effect. Very romantic shot.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:19 PM) :

a very paris look.

love,

I think this is one of more gorgeous photos I have seen here. Do you have a colour version?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:09 PM) :

Love the pic. The black and white things gives it a magic atmosphere! Also, she's lovely!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:11 PM) :

I love a scarf looks. It can make someone seem so sofisticated and it's great when you don't freeze to death.

I don't like that this picture is in B&W. One of my favorite things about the pictures on this blog is how accessible they are. I feel like that accessibility is what sets this site apart from just about everything. It amazes me how remote someone can become just by shooting them in black and white.

a b/w picture... i am surprised! i still love that kind of photo, the geometric comes out much better. when you are dressed black and white it is a good way to capture the lines.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:02 PM) :

This is a beautiful girl and a beautiful photo.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:47 PM) :

god, what a photo!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:57 PM) :

beautiful- picture and woman. her look is great, but she seems so graceful too, as if she didn't try too hard.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:58 PM) :

great photo. you should do more black and white on the startorialist

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:14 PM) :

She looks lovely. And cold. Talk about sacrifice over fashion.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:14 AM) :

Like the others have said, that's a beautiful picture. I like the simplicity and flowing lines of her outfit.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:15 AM) :

just lovely :)

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:39 AM) :

What a beautiful, moody, timeless shot...even though what she is wearing is actually quite unremarkable..the pose the background. How do you do it?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:32 AM) :

Very Martin Margiela!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:32 AM) :

So lovely with all those layers.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:47 AM) :

You gotta be slim to do this. If I get a big white swatch across my midsection, it's not such a chic sight.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:39 AM) :

I love the look, the effect and everything just perfect! I know it be a look i will be following!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:01 AM) :

cool & comfortable!

Blogger whyioughtta said ... (10:30 AM) :

B&W was the perfect choice for this photo.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:58 AM) :

1) nice picture1

2) brrrrrrrrrrr!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:23 PM) :

This look is absolutely marvelous! I love it - love it - love it! And not only do I not mind the socks, but I love them, they add a playful touch that completes the look! And the choice to have it in B&W is also brilliant for this shot. Good job!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:22 PM) :

She looks like out of a film by Ingmar Berman.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:31 PM) :

i just realized what this reminds me of - my little sister after she finishes ballet class. during the winter she'll bundle on a bunch of random clothing over her dance wear.. leather jacket, warm up shirt, scarf, sweats, tights...

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:01 AM) :

lovely photo, more b+w please!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:43 AM) :

put more pictures with smiles next time :)
