ahhh that green coat is so beautiful. i love the way aya kanai mixes certain pieces into her wardrobe and her fabulous styling in nylon.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:45 PM) :

I LOVE the very classic feel of this look. The young woman pulls the ensemble off very nonchalantly and in the kind of casually elegant manner that I most admire.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:27 PM) :

I swear you're planting these people about town - LOL! It just can't be possible for this many stylish people to exist!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:54 PM) :

Does anyone know anything about her fabulous sweater? Love the way she's pictured next to the bike, too!

Blogger Carolina Lange said ... (7:54 PM) :

Great look, her coat is beautiful and her shoes are so cute!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:24 PM) :

I love this shot. And I'm hoping someone will comment here to let me know where her coat is from!

Blogger stacy said ... (9:00 PM) :

Everything works!

Her red lips, most definitely, complete the outfit.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:07 PM) :

Wow, does anyone know who designed the coat? Lovely blog!

Blogger Blaise said ... (9:14 PM) :

It's definitely the coat that made this outfit! Love the color.. ;)

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:14 PM) :

could this be an alexander wang coat?
she looks lovely
the outfit wouldn't be the same without the coat

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:24 PM) :

everything is great!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:52 PM) :

lovely and coy. and she's double-purseing it.. next trend on the horizon, perhaps? i would actually really love it if women all started carrying two purses. better than a tiny dog.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:15 AM) :

You seem to favor Asian girls in your photos Sart. It is easy to understand, generally they are petite and light in structure-just like this girl with the green jacket. She looks comfy in her outfit. When looking at a painting or just as well blurring through interior design magazines or books, I prefer the ones that aren´t finished to perfection. I like this picture for the same reasons.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:19 AM) :

Fantastic shot! I love her expression, the casualness of the clothes and the motorcycles juxtaposed in the background.

Blogger Particulars said ... (12:21 AM) :

I love her shoes and jacket!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:31 AM) :

The rich colour of the coat really makes this outfit

Blogger nadarine said ... (1:05 AM) :

I agree w Carolina: those shoes! If anyone recognizes the maker/style, please do tell. They're perfect.

Blogger T said ... (1:09 AM) :

Cheeky meets classic. The coat is very stylish.

Sart,

Everytime I see one of your pictures I am wowed. My immediate reaction has been to think that it's the clothes that are amazing. But I am starting to think that it is YOU. I have a feeling that you could make anyone, wearing anything, look amazing. More and more I see you simply as a great photographer. Can't wait for your book to come out! In the mean time, I would love to buy a print of the GRL in the red dress.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:19 AM) :

god. aya is always so freaking stylish. she puts all the other fashion editors to shame.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:36 AM) :

OMG, I LOVE her parka! please let me know everything about it!
(the shoes are perfect, too.)

Blogger Unknown said ... (10:14 AM) :

She looks incredible; I wish I could look so casually chic. The shoes are great, the top is quirky and fun, the coat is UNbelievable, and the skirt fits perfectly.... For me, the real prize is the bag. I love the length of the strap.

This woman clearly has a well curated collection of pieces and knows how to combine them. Brava!f4shionist4

you could take a picture of aya every day and you'd have an amazing street fashion blog. seriously, this outfit is par for the course. she's incredible. i've been wondering when you'd post a photo of her -- this one is fun and captures her style nicely. lovely and sophisticated with a little whimsy and the tiniest bit of kitsch.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:49 PM) :

when i saw the photo above i thought...mmmm i wish he would have shot the girl behind in the green coat instead...and of course you did. :) gorgeous as always

FANTASTIC COAT!

And I love how she looks like she's having such a good time, while still looking so stylin'. That's what I aim for.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:09 AM) :

Love the color and cut!
I'm an American and live and work now in Seoul, South Korea. There are great stores here but I swear I want to find a tailor and wear only fitted suits and funky shoes.

Would you know of a great tailor, for women's clothing, here in Seoul? Also, when are you coming to Seoul?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:58 AM) :

who is she?
I googled for Aya but there are so many hits...

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:01 AM) :

...its her exotic face...would you find the ensemble as interesting/ lovely on a run of the mill face?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:34 PM) :

Her face - the way the make up is done, she looks like a court lady from a Heian scroll.

Amazing how classic some looks are!
