thanks! it's nice to see a real woman with a real figure...

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:28 AM) :

nice shoes. great colour for the dress. just one nit: does the dress hang like a sack when she doesn't move?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:32 AM) :

the shoes are fantastic !! Love the the effect of movement and joy that emanates from the photo!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:37 AM) :

the color is exquisite. she no doubt is constantly causing neck problems with turned heads.

the shoes are well done.

Blogger alex said ... (3:44 AM) :

i love the drees it seems very comfortable and cool.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:57 AM) :

Is this Victoria, Crown Princess of Sweden?

http://photogallery.indiatimes.com/photo.cms?photoid=2438845

Anyone else see resemblance?
Although if that's a wedding ring then the Princess is not married yet.

Lovely orange anyhow. Very delicious.

Greetings from Estonia

Blogger Laurenn said ... (4:03 AM) :

The color is to die for!!

Blogger SparkleQueen said ... (4:25 AM) :

love it. nice job capturing her movement and flow of her orange dress. :)

Blogger Igci said ... (4:41 AM) :

fab color, but with flats or wedges, darling

Blogger hannah k said ... (5:13 AM) :

breathtaking...

she radiates life.

Blogger Esti said ... (5:51 AM) :

Aaaaaahhh...fresh orange...

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:04 AM) :

Ah -- Beautiful color to her skin tone. The ease of the whole look is really quite nice.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:22 AM) :

fantastic colour for dress!!
I like it with the combination of shoes' colour:)

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:25 AM) :

That colour is striking.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:32 AM) :

Great style!
Wonderful proportions.
Shoes she can walk elegantly in.
Yes - at last a woman who understands that unless you can walk properly there is no style !!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:36 AM) :

Woahhhhhh stunning!!!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:47 AM) :

I'm not completely sure I like this.
The color is great, but I don't like silhouette.
It looks very monk-like, minus the hood.

Blogger Martini said ... (7:49 AM) :

nice to see a curvy woman on here. great shoes.

Blogger Peter Breese said ... (7:51 AM) :

wonderful fantastic orange! beautiful flowing fabric. she seems so alive.

Blogger eyefordetail said ... (7:52 AM) :

I love the billowing effect. I wonder if she thought that such a loose dress could be so sexy and revealing "en route"? She looks great.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:27 AM) :

a very smart woman: the color compliments her complexion, the silhouette and the length, everything is perfect. furthermore, her jewelry appears simple and understated. she looks beautiful, elegant and well in her skin. more sexy, happy women please!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:53 AM) :

The flow of her red dress is a Titian painting reinvented.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:03 AM) :

i am curious also, "anonymous" asked, how does it hang when you're not moving. I suppose for the woman on the go that's irrelevant otherwise, I've found a new love. Kris Van Assche.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:08 AM) :

Great colour, great shot, but I actually think it's spoiled by the shoes. They're too dainty and delicate for this dress in both style and colour impact.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:09 AM) :

not really a dress that will sell well,do you think?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:25 AM) :

Very juicy, it brings to mind clementines at Christmas!

Blogger Miss Kim said ... (9:32 AM) :

Funny how certain colours can be so 'out' for years and years and then suddenly they're beautiful once again. This is lovely, fresh and uplifting fashion and she wears it well.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:45 AM) :

Interesting. Looks like a man's shirt that got stretched out after a swim in the pool. Very 70s looking.

Blogger Unknown said ... (10:26 AM) :

what a glorious image!

Blogger Carolina Lange said ... (10:43 AM) :

Amazing photo! Gorgeous dress!

Blogger Mrs Stevens said ... (10:52 AM) :

She looks beautiful - very natural, relaxed and at ease. However I personally do not like the shoe with this shape. I think a chunkier heel and darker colour would balance the vibrancy and looseness of the dress in a much more pleasing manner.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:59 AM) :

love the dress, hate the shoes.

Blogger ruby-crowned kinglette said ... (11:01 AM) :

i am with the others happy to see a woman who looks like she has had a good meal... and enjoyed it. it is about time.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:10 AM) :

A WOMAN, pure sang, + love the dress and its color, great pic Scott !!!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:22 AM) :

Oh, my, OH MY! Smart to show the dress in action. Stunning!

Blogger The Spicers said ... (11:26 AM) :

Stunning color!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:44 AM) :

her shoes are amazing! they remind me of Barbieshoes -- but in a grown-up, ladylike way. so fun. she looks so happy.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:48 AM) :

Thank you Sart for showing a beautifully dressed woman who isn't a stick figure. I'm always delighted to see more and more women being photograhed in fashion who are the normal average size. Her dress, shoes, hair, everything is so pretty in this shot.

Blogger aviewaskew said ... (12:02 PM) :

refreshing! smiling happy woman. you caught the moment perfectly sart...vibrant yet simple, brightly elegant...interesting.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:40 PM) :

what a nice smile, but the dress is a bit sacky

Blogger angie said ... (12:51 PM) :

reminds me of designer Modi Soondarotok of IDOM! beautiful color and movement.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:08 PM) :

Blogger O!Lightning said ... (1:12 PM) :

Woah! cool. I would like to see something bringing the look up to her absolutely stunning face. a flower in her hair would work divinely. The pink shoes are an inspired choice. She rocks orange, and not many women can.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:14 PM) :

The woman and the color are beautiful -- I wish the dress were slightly less loose, but not too much!

Blogger Katy said ... (1:19 PM) :

I am craving fresh oranges right now! That color is positively fabulous. I love the movement in the photo! :-) This picture makes me happy.

Blogger STYLE DU MONDE said ... (1:40 PM) :

Such a vibrant picture!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:42 PM) :

thanks! it's nice to see a real woman with a real figure..."

Amen! Love that bold color, brave of her to choose and she wears it well. Those shoes are pure joy. she's just glowing all over!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:54 PM) :

beautiful flow of orange kaftan dress.

Just started to read your archive from sept 2005.....

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:57 PM) :

The dress is just lovely. Paula

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:27 PM) :

Amazing look! Maybe if the ceinture were a tad higher?

Blogger Lili Claret said ... (2:41 PM) :

Sometimes I think that rather than people well dressed...you actually pick great pictures, with great light, in the right place and at the right moment...it's not that much about fashion, but about amazing pictures...and the awesome way you can capture peoples' expressions.... just wanted to say this. However, some of them really look stylish, what I also like. big kisses from BCN. Lyly

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:47 PM) :

this is just beautiful.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:52 PM) :

The first thing that struck me (besides the radiant colour) is her beautiful figure! Lovely! And she looks so happy and warm.

Blogger Kat Walks said ... (3:05 PM) :

whoa color! color! color!

Blogger eye five style said ... (3:14 PM) :

Just glad to know you were at KVA

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:14 PM) :

Funky dress... great color!

Blogger Jonathan said ... (3:25 PM) :

Luscious!

Orange is such an underrated color.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:26 PM) :

a joy to behold and a great photo!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:03 PM) :

She's absolutely beautiful! The color is gorgeous next to her complexion and the fit is perfect for her figure. And I love the shoes!! Bravo!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:04 PM) :

Love the color! She looks fantastic in it and I love the way the fabric moves as she walks. I’m interested in how that dress looks when she’s standing still. I have a feeling it would look kind of shapeless and unflattering. Looks great though as long as she keeps moving.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:23 PM) :

She's dressed in the color of a Dutch football fan. But Dutch football fans are not as elegant as this woman. And the shoes are fantastic!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:29 PM) :

love it all! defying staid rules in the most inspiring way. who says curvier women shouldn't wear diaphanous silhouettes or pair bright shoes with a bright dress! the loose bun is a lovely final touch.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:01 PM) :

How refreshing to see a full-figured woman for a change. Love the kaftan, not a fan of the shoes. Some tan, gold or turquoise blue sandals would have been better.

Blogger momo said ... (5:12 PM) :

Her smile is her greatest adornment!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:38 PM) :

In response to the first post: I agree she looks lovely, but then why add that she's a "real" woman with a "real" figure??? Because the thinner women shown here aren't "real"?

Perhaps you're just having some fun, and I'm being a wet blanket-- but I've noticed on more than one occasion where posters have (playfully?) bashed the "skinny" types when commenting on the more full-figured types.

Anyway, she is lovely and glowing with such a radiant smile. The dress/kaftan only enhances her beautiful presence.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:27 PM) :

gorgeous - everything!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:51 PM) :

After seeing the original photo of this dress at the Kris Van Assche Spring 2008 Ready-to-Wear Collection on Style.com, I agree with two sets of posters here: the "her curves elevate that dress" and "that dress might not look so great unless in motion".

Clearly the dress looks spectacular on this curvaceous woman. I would also like to see it at rest to see if it still looks and drapes as beautifully as it does in motion.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:58 PM) :

Beautiful color, beautiful photo, BEAUTIFUL woman but I'm confused about the fit of the dress. It seems unflattering and sack-like.

With that smile she could be in a trash bag I suppose ;-)

Boccioni's Unique Forms of Continuity in Space anyone?

Blogger Wilhelmina Hernández said ... (7:59 PM) :

That smile and that strut keep my first thought away from the word muumuu. She looks stunning!

I love wearing dresses like this when it's windy.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:49 PM) :

I love that her smile and confidence are the only accessories she needs. she's so radiant in that color and the dress requires such movement/energy that she must dance through each room!

Blogger CULTURE CREATORS said ... (8:50 PM) :

DYNAMITE color. stunning.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:04 PM) :

YAHOO!!
Love for Life, baby, Love for Life!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:45 PM) :

As a size zero who thinks that women with flesh look much, much better than do we starved-looking types, I agree that this is BEAUTIFUL. Everything about this breathes comfort and joy. I absolutely love it and wish I could do it myself. It's a colour I bought recently, though in a fitted sheath - great to see it in vogue, as with the bright yellows.

Blogger Unknown said ... (10:08 PM) :

she looks wonderful - but does the dress look as good when it's not in motion? Whenever i try to wear something this voluminous it tends to look strange if I'm not moving (BTW I am a "real" woman with a very "real" figure!)

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:20 PM) :

I don't know if anyone has said this but it reminds me of the painting Flaming June by Frederic Leighton. The radiant color represents the spirit inside. I think its fantastic

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:16 AM) :

The first thing I thought was, the Nike of Samothrace!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:30 AM) :

Wonderful! But I would like to see her in a pair of more emphatic shoes... preferably in pillar-box red.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:00 AM) :

Winged Victory!

What a goddess.

Blogger junglesiren said ... (4:05 AM) :

She's beautiful and her smile is the only accessory she needs. I love the color of the dress and am also curious as to what it looks like when in repose. I would imagine that movement is it's best friend.

I'm small (thin and 5'4") and know that I'd be swallowed up in so much fabric. She must be pretty tall.

I also dig her shoes.

As for her being a "real" woman....I don't even know what that means but I do know that she's gorgeous real or fake.

Blogger color lili said ... (8:00 AM) :

Yes, Jussieu place - but the architecture is polemic…! Here I work all days (tower 45, graphic studio), I did not come to see (haven't got invitation)

Blogger tintin said ... (8:08 AM) :

She is beautiful in that refreshing way that says,"I'm not a model, designer, reporter or some other fashionista...although she may very well be.

How did you get that orange in the background? Photo Shop?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:10 AM) :

walking liberty

Blogger Landis said ... (10:35 AM) :

now see, THAT is color done right. she's LOVELY. and probably a size 6.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:53 AM) :

She is stunning. And the dress and shoes are great too.

Blogger Kanani said ... (12:33 PM) :

She's full figured, and this is a wonderful dress that has both movement and style. Love the color --what a refreshing break from the browns and blacks.

Blogger STITCH said ... (4:08 PM) :

Love the construction orange.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:45 PM) :

Count me in the group who finds it terribly offensive how everyone overflows with comments every time a so-called "real" woman is featured. Can't we just keep the focus on the picture itself, and the woman in it, accepted as they are?

This woman looks gorgeous, and it would never have crossed my mind to critique her weight if not for all the comments.

And the anonymous poster who described size 0 as "starved looking" - Please. You're not helping, just because you may be a starved looking size 0 doesn't give you the right to insult others who may be a natural, healthy portion-eating size 0. Trust me, we exist.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:05 AM) :

this reminds me of the huge flowy dresses of lanvin spring rtw. only in shorter form. magical.

Blogger Concordia Personal Shopper said ... (12:20 AM) :

It´s like a poem blowing in the wind!
Great dress, amazing shoes, perfect hairstyle, suitable collar for her body shape. Anything else???

Blogger Lenoxave said ... (2:08 PM) :

This is truly one of the most wondrous colors I've seen in sometime besides that electric Moroccan Blue. She has a lovely smile and looks great.

Blogger Karen said ... (5:46 PM) :

I'm not fond of orange myself but this woman wears it well. The dress looks great in motion and suits her figure, but standing still? I'd like to see the same woman and same dress in different angles. Not with those pink flowery shoes, though.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:39 PM) :

love her dimples and legs!

Blogger Unknown said ... (1:14 AM) :

Awesome with a capital A+.

Blogger Cerisa said ... (1:59 PM) :

She looks amazing. Like a really sexy Buddhist monk.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:29 PM) :

I'm not a huge fan of the dress but the color is beautiful on her. It suits her incredibly well. (I also thought flaming june.) More importantly, the photo captures a nice fleeting moment in time.

Also, I'm a thin woman...am I not real? Don't project your own insecurities, people. Don't hate. Enjoy the clothes and little moments scott captures. Life is short.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:17 AM) :

Wow! I wish I had the skin tone for that color. She looks amazing.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:50 PM) :

Melting cream-sicle.
Brilliant color, but dowdy shape.
Doesn't do such a gorgeous woman justice.

Blogger Pleasant Village Community Garden said ... (9:04 PM) :

Divine. A look of joyful self-confidence rarely seen in Paris.

Blogger Den (næsten) aldrig forlegne said ... (8:53 AM) :

She's like Nike form Samothrace - and that's still one of the most beautiful sculptures ever made.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:08 PM) :

To me, she looks like a fuller-figured Ali MacGraw. I love the dress' color, but I also would have put, say, Michael Kors turquoise jeweled sandals with it.

Blogger ATF said ... (7:21 PM) :

it´s a real person.
it's a woman that is alive.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:22 PM) :

beautiful woman, and gorgeous color, but something a bit more fitting would be nicer ...and the shoes? non.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:49 PM) :

love love love. she's BEAUTIFUL. color fantastic. hair perfect. gorgeous smile. i want to be her. where's she going? off to the museum? fabulous flight somewhere? oh, i love this shot. makes me care about her.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:28 AM) :

The dress would be great as a beach coverup, but not on the street. It needs a belt or something to define the waist.

Anonymous m said ... (9:35 AM) :

That's such a beautiful bright color. If only she had cool earrings on that went with the shoes.

Anonymous coty said ... (7:22 AM) :
