Who cares what he's wearing!

Blogger Max said ... (11:01 AM) :

What's so special about him? He looks like a Marks and Spencer advertisement.

Blogger Jorge from W Palm Beach said ... (11:02 AM) :

OK, FINE, I love this one. Maybe I am just being a hater, but how can someone so young afford such clothes? It always makes me wonder whether it is true that some Italian young men stay at home until they marry. No rent= awesome clothes and accessories? There is nothing I would change from this look. Blogger nyc/caribbean ragazza said ... (11:03 AM) :

He cleans up very nicely.

He was very good in the THE HISTORY BOYS.

Blogger so said ... (11:04 AM) :

mama mia is right!!

(gorgeous)

Blogger stylePOVist said ... (11:06 AM) :

The talented Mr (Dominic) Cooper.
His performance at History Boys is just fantastic.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:06 AM) :

oh my god! he´s hot!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:11 AM) :

YUM!!!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:12 AM) :

he's in movies and tony winning plays. most recently the fiance in the mamma mia movie. He looks BEAUTIFUL. crisp and clean.

Blogger norawoah said ... (11:13 AM) :

I wish all young men wore slim cut suits. They just look amazing, and youthful, and sophisticated.

Blogger Dan in Richmond said ... (11:17 AM) :

Beautiful. I just bought a similar looking suit and interestingly picked up an understated black/grey/silver patterned tie with it. I like his.
No pocket square! Isn't it funny how I've become so accustomed to them on this site that I REALLY notice their absence. I think one would help here but he's hardly underdressed without it. They're still more common on this site than on the street.
Love the photo. End of the day? What lies ahead?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:23 AM) :

Celebrity and good looks aside, any guy who can look so comfortable leaving his jacket buttoned when he sits is okay in my book!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:24 AM) :

A quick style question: I've always learned that when a guy sits down, he unbuttons his jacket; when he stands up, he buttons it again. Is that a "fashion rule" or just a matter of preference?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:29 AM) :

Loved him in Mamma Mia!

He's so gorgeous and effortlessly chic here.

Blogger Urja Dave said ... (11:29 AM) :

gorgeous!

Blogger Jingoist said ... (11:46 AM) :

OK, so one has to ask... is this his doing or his stylist's?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:46 AM) :

Wow. Now there is a handsomely dressed man. Why can't more men dress like that? I'm so over the sloppy, low riding, underwear showing, look so many young men wear.

This man is simply fabulous!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:46 AM) :

S'nice.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:59 AM) :

mamma mia, with two m.

Cute!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:15 PM) :

HUNK

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:21 PM) :

HOT!! I think I had a dream about him last night...

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:23 PM) :

The buttoned-up when sitting down argument is an interesting one. I personally never button my jackets, except perhaps on an unseasonable breezy day. There is nothing worse than those boxy jackets, all three-buttons buttoned-up, as regularly worn by pundits on ESPN (and ever other sports broadcast). They look like prisoners in their own clothes.

Blogger J.P. said ... (12:30 PM) :

Guy looks awesome.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:49 PM) :

good lord he is cute.

Blogger The Domina said ... (12:57 PM) :

Not being a man, my question is, do you usually unbutton before sitting? But my, he does look fine here! Lovely suit!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:12 PM) :

I painfully wish my boyfriend would dress like this!

Simply fabulous!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:17 PM) :

wow sexy

Blogger Halie said ... (1:22 PM) :

he looks great -- casual and done up at the same time.

he's a hottie, too... the beach scene in mamma mia? wow.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:55 PM) :

Skinny suits look really expensive, and the color of his, just drags that out even more. Conservative stylish.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:56 PM) :

So cute!
Vraiment très sexy ces italiens...

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:06 PM) :

Dapper!
Quite dapper.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:16 PM) :

HOT.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:16 PM) :

Spot on. This could be a photograph from L'uomo Vogue...

Blogger Angela R Miller said ... (2:22 PM) :

Forget "Mama Mia." I'm sayin', "Hubba! Hubba!"

Blogger Sam said ... (2:23 PM) :

mama mia indeedy!!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:25 PM) :

he is hot.

but the sleeves of his shirt are a bit long, aren't they?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:26 PM) :

Hi Dominic! Too bad he didn't take off his pants in Mamma Mia like he did in History Boys. :) A talented actor and a gentleman.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:33 PM) :

O man yes! I owe you one Sart! No wonder he was featured in vogue the other month.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:36 PM) :

God... look at him!!!

Blogger Miguel said ... (2:38 PM) :

Nice slim tie and the color of that suit is perfect...

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:52 PM) :

Good looking guy. Nice grooming. He's handsome.
But, the suit looks very average to me. There are no details that say to me that this is anything exceptional.
I'd be surprised if this was a top-quality suit.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:17 PM) :

woot! what a hottie! but that's definitely a good lighting right there.

Blogger Ryan said ... (3:18 PM) :

I think Dominic looks handsome. Love the fit of his suit. I personally unbutton my jacket when I sit.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:23 PM) :

I was gonna say, he is so cute. He kinda looks like Dominic Cooper, but cuter. Guess, the joke is on me.

Blogger Kwana said ... (3:39 PM) :

First thought? Oh my.

Blogger Unknown said ... (4:02 PM) :

Good looking guy. I get that the "tiny suit" is very much the thing in Europe, but I don't like it. I guess I'm old fashioned that way.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:05 PM) :

yes please. that's what men should look like all the time!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:05 PM) :

He looks marvelous! Just perfect.

Blogger Carolina Lange said ... (4:08 PM) :

WOW!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:11 PM) :

uhmm didnt you already post some of these pictures on your GQ blog? The one from Fashion Week in Europe.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:17 PM) :

I wanna eat him. (blush)

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:32 PM) :

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:39 PM) :

CHRIST I want to move to Milan!!!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:58 PM) :

Very handsome man. Very nice shot, Sart.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:22 PM) :

A comment from a woman in Brazil:

The latin girls

Blogger meyers said ... (6:00 PM) :

That is one very good-looking man. Very good-looking. (And yes, nice clothes too)

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:08 PM) :

"I'd be surprised if this was a top-quality suit"

He was a front row guest at the Versace show so I would be 99% certain that this suit is indeed Versace as they would hook him up.

"CHRIST I want to move to Milan!!!"

He's British - Move to London!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:48 PM) :

My god! How I would love to wake up with him every morning!

Seriously - since seeing him I have been in such agood mood!

Blogger CULTURE CREATORS said ... (6:53 PM) :

Gorgeous shot. hmmm I'm a little more inspired to see the movie...:)

Blogger Lisa said ... (8:24 PM) :

Slim suits look great on relaxed young men like this one.

Blogger Wontons said ... (9:43 PM) :

I've loved everything I've seen him in - "Starter for 10" and "Sense and Sensibility."

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:57 PM) :

I agree with the first comment: who cares what he's wearing!!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:04 PM) :

I love Dominic Cooper. He is rockin' that suit!

Blogger Abby said ... (10:55 PM) :

He seems like the type of guy that looks better with scruff than a clean shaven face...love the face, love the suit...If only the guys in Italy would teach the guys in Oklahoma a little something about fashion...

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:13 PM) :

To the poster who called this suit "tiny," I would say that this suit is not even close to the trendy emo-rocker tiny suit. Rather this is a slimmer cut suit that looks good on most men (and is close to how a standard non-trendy suit should fit).

Why is it so hard for some people to get away from suits that fit like circus tents. Fuller cut/oversize suits make men look sloppy and fatter or skinnier than they are.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:20 PM) :

oh deary. he is quite an attractive man.
other than that, i like how the ridiculously subtle stripe on the suit matches the shirt as well as the tie.

Blogger Anastasia said ... (11:27 PM) :

he's really sweet!! loved him in Mamma Mia...what a cutie and he looks FAB in a suit!

Blogger Ammie said ... (11:28 PM) :

Yes, please.

Blogger a reference said ... (11:35 PM) :

hmmm...adorable

Blogger Kenny Cho said ... (12:09 AM) :

Delicious.

Blogger the lit slut said ... (12:37 AM) :

Wow, he looks incredible. They sure know how to make 'em in Milan.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:11 AM) :

i wish all men dressed this way. incredibly sexy.

Blogger kristi said ... (2:00 AM) :

where can I get one?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:26 AM) :

cuuuute

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:28 AM) :

I thought it looked a lot like Dominic Cooper from the History Boys; he's looking dashing as always! what's he doing in Milan?

Blogger Esti said ... (4:29 AM) :

Wow! Can I have one like that please? :)

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:40 AM) :

LOVE a man in a suit! So sexy.

Blogger trish paik said ... (5:08 AM) :

i love that you cant see the subtle striping on the suit until you make the picture larger.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:18 AM) :

ah. that is very nice to look at. i just love how sophisticated but casual he looks. deelish.

he was so good in the history boys. he was gay though.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:22 AM) :

Okay, I'd have a green iced tea, a cookie and ...two of these, please. To take away.
Thank you!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:05 AM) :

I didn't know until today Dominic Cooper, now I know he's very handsome !!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:10 AM) :

Some people need to learn that when you sit down, unbutton your coat so that it might lay flat and not get wrinkled. He must be self-conscious or just totally unaware he is not wearing jeans. Suits are a great communicator of civility and a very useful tool of the genteel man (or one that hopes to be of manners). They need to be handled the right way, or you communicate you are not genteel.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:03 AM) :

yeah, he's relly hot!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:04 AM) :

yeah,he's really hot!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:13 AM) :

the shirt sleeves are too exposed. the rest's quite fine, although I'd add a white pocket square.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:19 AM) :

Mamma with 2 m !!!

Blogger cami falcão said ... (9:13 AM) :

slim suits are the best, specially worn by someone so hot and fit like him.
great shot!!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:48 AM) :

Cute, handsome, nice, gorgeous.... What else?

Blogger Sarah said ... (12:04 PM) :

*Swoon!*
To the people who think the look is nothing special - did you look at the larger pic? The combination of three different stripe-types comes across much better in the larger one.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:41 PM) :

Mamma Mia Dominic is Gorgeous!!!! Perfect shot of the perfect Man!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:23 PM) :

Oh my God he is hot! Very, very handsome!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:50 PM) :

so now I am nearly crying. I want an italian man who can dress as perfectly as he.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:55 PM) :

Soo handsome! I'd say, for sure, he is italian, if I hadn't read the comments before. But, maybe because he is in Milan, he's definetely got the italian men's charm. There's nothing like it... Nada supera o charme do homem italiano!!

Blogger aviewaskew said ... (3:38 PM) :

the eyes have IT....would love to get a closer inspection of tjat suit.

Blogger Melania Popovici said ... (3:48 PM) :

I think it's the difference between a "Eurpoean Cut" and an US cut. I'd like to see the average joe on the street at least attempt to look this clean cut. I've mostly seen rumply, wrinkled suits that are bulked up by rather large- ill fitted shirts underneath that puff out at the bottom.

Gentlemen take note please.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:45 PM) :

Il me fait fondre.

Blogger FlashBastard said ... (7:56 PM) :

I have to agree - The suit looks great, the guy looks great (and I'm straight... but I can still see... )

However, I'm glad not too many people dress this well here in my area...

Helps me stand out, without over-doing it!

(I don't think the sleeve is too short, it may be a combo of the sitting, the slim - read 'smaller' cut and the buttoned jacket)

... is it really any more genteel to unbutton when sitting or perhaps just preference?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:16 PM) :

Word to the guy who said that North American guys wear suits that look like circus tents. I have a friend who actually looks much like this young man does - he's devastatingly handsome, and fit - and yet he wears such massive, ill-fitting suits. It drives me nuts. Men should be as beautiful as they are!

Blogger Net Royalty Media said ... (9:21 PM) :

I ♥ him. Today.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:55 PM) :

Blogger bomb.ass.ting said ... (5:54 PM) :

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:03 PM) :

I am moving to Milan tomorrow.

Blogger MARA said ... (2:01 PM) :

MAMMA MIA

with two "m" ....

Blogger Unknown said ... (4:27 AM) :

even larry the cable-guy would look neat in that vestment

Blogger Angelius said ... (10:25 AM) :

Lovely! In Milan, Florence, etc, etc meaning, most Italian, and German, cities, (Munich) a tailored, classic look is most complimentary to the surroundings. There is always a trend, a strong, of the moment trend especially in Italy, but for the chic, the best packed wardrobe is classic, tailored. And Right, back to this boy, he's British, look at that mischievous glint in the eye, the curve in the corner of his pink lips framed by a little manly shadow, yes young man, take advantage of the day, of the decade, youth is your amour, you are bulletproof.

Blogger Angelius said ... (11:14 AM) :

Ah Ha, ok, I've had cafe, and only now realize, this is Dominic Cooper, no wonder the chap's perfected the pose.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:27 PM) :

Wow, I have never seen a better photograph of him. Well done.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:36 PM) :

Yuh.. Number, Adress, Married ? no, ok, have a drink ? :)

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:43 PM) :

looking sooo hot in this suit!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:23 AM) :

could he look any more perfect?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:16 PM) :

oh my! just lovely!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:38 PM) :

marry me!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:44 PM) :

this is almost perfection. the suit is a perfect fit and it has subtle stripes that i didn't notice until i looked at the bigger picture, which i think mixes with his striped shirt and striped tie really well.

i think the look would be complete if he had a pocket square, but its all about personal taste. right?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:29 PM) :

hhmm is that some sort of a joke?? i mean cum'on no one can look that good that easy

Blogger Rui said ... (6:41 PM) :

that's why one has to love milan...
and yes, latin man do stay at home until they marry, sometimes... it's cultural.
and helps having a great closet, even though THAT kind of clothes doesn't come from eating at mamma's, it comes from having a god job (which, btw, are still easier to find at the US...).
and has for the style question: if you really worry about "how it should be", the firts button is ALWAYS buttoned, except for actually working (...) it's a drag! :)

Blogger milenkos said ... (10:46 PM) :

effortless because it's simple. I like the classic knot he has; just the right size.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:41 AM) :

Blogger a girl dreaming of a wild, dangerous life tinged with anarchy said ... (4:12 PM) :

what a fittie!

Blogger fashionfatwa said ... (2:31 AM) :

I've always loved Dominic Cooper and followed his career, and this is without a doubt the best photograph I've ever seen of him. Absolutely perfect. Soooo halal.
And it's the perfect example of "working it". That outfit could not be simply transferred to another person - his pose, his build, his effortless confidence - everything he's doing is responsible for making the suit look so good, rather than the suit simply making him look good.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:23 AM) :

Espero ver muchos hombres como él en Milán...

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:05 PM) :

Ciao bello!!!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:38 PM) :

nice!!!!

muy bello

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:25 PM) :

it's nice to see a guy looking more masculine on this site

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:07 PM) :

Heeelllo. What a cutie pie! I think his confident expression makes it more than just a well made suit. The person really does make the outfit.

oh how I love your shots!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:06 AM) :

He is adorable. What is it with Italian men?! There is a certain look in their eyes, and that close fitting suit is perfection.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:47 AM) :

GORGEOUS!

He was amazing in The History Boys.. I can't decide whether I prefer him playing Dakin or as himself in that picture.. hmm..

Blogger xA said ... (7:10 AM) :

I thought it was him. Are there more like him where he came from?

Blogger the_eye_collector said ... (12:32 PM) :

I *wish* I could comment on the clothes, but I'm just too distracted by how good-looking he is. Shame on me, I know...

But I do wonder if this would look quite so good on someone less... biologically blessed, or would it just be a bit boring?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:45 PM) :

Mama Mia....Milan rules!
