very beautiful girl wearing...what is that? t.x

Blogger magstermash said ... (8:26 AM) :

I love the different textures: loud textures against the black makes everything subtle. And I especially love that ruffly, wrinkled, coiled look; she's even got them in her hair!

And it looks like there's a slight breeze to show how the outfit can move.

Her facial expression goes well against the background.

"I am hot and yes, these are my real lips . . ."

Good pose!

Blogger Olviya said ... (8:45 AM) :

so good to know that we have one more good(stylish) looking photographer!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:48 AM) :

i could never wear that, i would be swallowed up in it; but it looks good on her.(i don't know exactly what she is wearing) -s.s

Blogger Alice Olive said ... (8:49 AM) :

I can't see what she's wearing, I'm struck by that intense face. Wow.

Blogger Dan in Richmond said ... (8:49 AM) :

I can't see everything going on here in detail but it looks great overall, particularly all the contrasting textures- the fringe at the hem, the ruffled whatever-it-is, the woven pattern on her top, the bag, etc. I'm always going on about texture and here we have it. Nice hair and boots, too. Good style.

Blogger t said ... (8:58 AM) :

I like the way the ruffles in her coat complement the ruffles in her hair.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:16 AM) :

Unusual layerings, black on black. Very interestingly gothic. I'm a fan. Her lack of jewelery brings out the somberness of the whole look.

Blogger melur said ... (9:28 AM) :

is she a photographer???

Blogger beths said ... (9:29 AM) :

Love the textures and layers of black (it will never die!). Gossamer dress fabric, diagonal bag hardware. Great for the season and her street. She looks chic and working, not like a pack-mule or fashion victim. Well done.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:39 AM) :

I love the frill collared jacket (i think that's what that is? The shoes, the double bag, and woman are beautiful. They just all go to gether well. I just wish I could distinguish the polka dot shirt from what looks like a thread frayed skirt (which I would really like to trim off).

Interesting.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:40 AM) :

wow. she's perfectly together and cool. wish i could look like that. love the boots, the top that does tricks, but not too many and her bags. hair perfectly up and undone and out of the way for the talented shirt.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:42 AM) :

Where is Carine Roitfeld? I didn ' t see her at this NY ' s fashion week!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:58 AM) :

its hard to tell since its all blac, but it seems like the mix of textures in person is what makes the look

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:08 AM) :

yay!! fall is here!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:18 AM) :

Wow - she's got this season's look down to a t. I love her vest/gilet - that's great piece where's it from?- i love her bag and she's got perfect legs for those boots. she looks great.

Blogger meredith said ... (10:29 AM) :

I love it!

Blogger aviewaskew said ... (10:29 AM) :

fiercely feminine...strike a pose.

Blogger Miguel said ... (10:41 AM) :

From hair to boots.... perfect look.

Blogger L said ... (10:53 AM) :

her hair is perfectly coiffed - and I love the uniform black look. she looks severe in a good way.

Blogger PunkiMeowMeow said ... (11:38 AM) :

Ah, this is a look that I relate too. Very New York chic!

Blogger Gia said ... (11:39 AM) :

love the volumes...all black and very stylish,no doubt:)that vest and those bags are very in...and that skirt or dress looks very original:)

Blogger The Spicers said ... (11:45 AM) :

I love the little leather vest thing she's wearing. Beautiful!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:08 PM) :

I agree, her facial expression goes very well against the background.

her boots, her expression, her monochromatic outfit, the exposure of the photo = it's all SO perfect.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:54 PM) :

Love those boots!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:39 PM) :

love the.."what is that comments" on the page..because she looks good..but we can't pick out the articles she's wearing. very spacey overall.

Blogger Kiki said ... (2:01 PM) :

Dan in Richmond,

Just wondering if you clicked to enlarge the photo? You can see everything. Sorry, I should say that I could see the details

Blogger Unknown said ... (2:02 PM) :

where is her camera?

Blogger Mira Vales said ... (2:08 PM) :

Too fashion-y and 80ies for my liking;

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:45 PM) :

Yep, we likey. The silhoutte and proportion are so good, the little booties perfect. I also like the amount of arm and kind of matching amount of leg that's bare. And she has a "I don't suffer fools..." look that's always good!

Blogger Unknown said ... (3:04 PM) :

this has nothing do to with the picture but...please come to singapore!=D

Blogger Haiku runner said ... (3:08 PM) :

I love this look!!!

Blogger Hong said ... (3:15 PM) :

interesting..
all the same color in different texture..
Even her hair matches the little patch on her shoulder bag in brown.

I also notice what she's holding in hear hand gives a more vividness to this look.

Blogger JennW said ... (3:45 PM) :

Geez, if it weren't for the dainty knee-bend, I'd be scared of this girl.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:51 PM) :

she looks like prince =)

Blogger junglesiren said ... (4:04 PM) :

Gorgeous girl. She looks perfect from head to toe. The vest (if that's what it is) looks like something Rick Owens might do, and the heels look as if you can actually work in them. Nothing frivolous. It all looks functional and beautiful.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:27 PM) :

Yes I love this a lot. the shapes and textures on her!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:38 PM) :

gorgeous. im not normally a fan of ruffles, but i would wear this. All black is so alluring.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:44 PM) :

she looks a little bulgy... there's too much going on!

Blogger hemoglobin said ... (4:58 PM) :

i tend to find and an "all black" a bit blah, but THIS is different really. i love the many textures happening in the ensemble.
don't fancy her shoes much..i think that killed it for me a bit
this is so a look i would wear ~~the sleeveless leather thing and her BAG(!!)
i LOVE her hair!!
a very well put together outfit !! the whole effect of it is absolutely gorgeous~~*

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:10 PM) :

She composes her look with the right amount of disaffection. It says I live by rules, but my list is short. The look is dynamic since everything matches in color but not in shape or texture. She looks intriguing and slightly rebellious... --HB

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:12 PM) :

I really like this one!!! I like the fact that, at first glance, it seemed to be the standard all black ensemble, then you notice the fabulous textures & shapes. Very, very cool.

Blogger edith said ... (6:43 PM) :

beautiful. love the messenger bag

Blogger xxxx said ... (6:50 PM) :

i agree with magstermash about bold texture with neutrals, monotone.

and i like that ske keeps her hair and makeup simple. is her hair very short or is it pulled back?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:24 PM) :

she's way too hot to be a photographer

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:52 PM) :

I love the way the photo is composed. Cheers to her also for not dressing like a shlub (sp). It is very tempting to take the - jeans, sneakers route especially in creative professions.

Blogger Starck Mad said ... (11:24 PM) :

She looks lovely and POWERFUL!
Love it. And the retro shoe-boots work well.
Nice!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:49 PM) :

I like how femininity and toughness are combined in different ways throughout her look.

And is that vest thing leather? and who makes it? I want.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:49 AM) :

Exquisite. Pity about the modelly bit with the legs: a natural pose is so much more appealing. Ditto the tippy-toe picture in pink from several days ago.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:23 AM) :

It does appear to be the accepted form here to compliment everyone, but dear me. Pop along to Camden any weekend and you'll clock identikits of this look everywhere. They've been there for over twenty years.
Dreary, uninspiring and done to death.
Sorry, just an opinion.

Blogger Unknown said ... (6:33 AM) :

the textures: AMAZING!!
