wow, i love this look. the pants!!

Blogger ryder said ... (6:57 PM) :

interesting pants and combination of textures.

Rolling up pants and one button jacket(i love this color) are nice.
The colors look calm and soft but his style is not feminine, totally.
Orange and check pattern Bag is good key to make it stand out.

Blogger Unknown said ... (7:18 PM) :

I just got such a WWII feeling of this picture, kind of beautiful.

Blogger Sartorial Vancouver said ... (7:30 PM) :

Love the hat. This addresses the comment from an earlier post about young men being able to pull off a classic man's hat: an emphatic yes.

This look works on so many levels but lets just talk about the accessories. The scarf adds volume but it also is extremely functional. I love his bag it is recalls those sewing bags from your grandmas house. But those shoes are what pull his look together, it gives it that perfect mix of ease and subtle sophistication every man should incorporate into his dress.

Blogger Deka said ... (8:15 PM) :

dont love the oversized sweater and ill-fitting trousers

Blogger slim said ... (8:17 PM) :

As someone with a Swedish background... I have to say, the Swedes you photograph are far, far too trendy... lots of trite nods to elements of '80s revival... for example, dime-a-dozen goth-ish painted nails: 100 percent unoriginal.

The italians you catch, by contrast, have a much more mature sense of of style, sophisticated pattern mixes... they know which rules to respect/ which to ignore, etc.

Blogger diane said ... (9:43 PM) :

I'm torn between thinking this is sheer genius, or just really sloppy.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:58 PM) :

The large scarf is awesome.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:09 PM) :

Nice composition. The analogous color scheme made with the creme color of the building in the back, the tree's brown, and his jacket's brown is soothing. He emerges quietly against the background that has only a few colors in its palette.

Blogger clarendonva said ... (10:32 PM) :

great bag and jacket...is the bag Goyard?

Blogger anonwomen said ... (11:10 PM) :

he makes it seem so easy!

Blogger The Concrete Commentator said ... (11:44 PM) :

Blogger Amir Olavi said ... (4:32 AM) :

love the accessories. these huge scarfs are extremely functional! since it's freezing in scandinavia. pleasing colour palete as well.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:33 AM) :

Like it, it's interesting!

Blogger Sarah said ... (5:36 AM) :

he's awesome!

Blogger George said ... (5:49 AM) :

This guy has character, it really bothers me seeing people mock his clothes for being ill-fitting, I sincerely hope the people that follow this blog are wiser then that, he looks very whimsical and out of this world, I wish I knew him.

Blogger aaendra said ... (8:09 AM) :

Nice look!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:33 AM) :

Being from Northern Europe myself, I agree with slim. This is exactly the same stuff we wore as students in the eighties.

Home-sewn coats and fleamarket finds.

Maybe I just don't have the necessary emotional distance to appreciate it.

Blogger Dr. Debonaire said ... (1:36 PM) :

I love this! That bag is amazing!

Blogger Dominica said ... (2:16 PM) :

The fabric of his pants are fabulous !
Wanna have his bag too !

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:31 PM) :

he's hot!

Blogger Hek said ... (4:55 PM) :

Sweeds have fantastic style.

Blogger Giancinephile said ... (1:31 AM) :

Rather unorthodox but the play on texture is just amaaaaaaaaaaazing!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:40 AM) :

I love these funky avant-garde Swedes!

Blogger Circe said ... (12:27 PM) :

I think he's really cool, but, actually I don't like the pants...

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:43 PM) :

All of your Stockholm photos make me think of Rekjavik; Icelanders are similiarly impervious to the cold and they never need winter coats. Rekjavik is a good fashion town, you should do shoot there. We Americans are so wussy!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:45 PM) :

Very unique style...

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:59 PM) :

i need that bag!!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:53 PM) :

Yes, I want THAT bag. NOW! ;-)

Blogger Sissy O said ... (5:47 PM) :

He's got an "artsy thrifty" put it together and hope it works type of style.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:31 PM) :

Am I the only one who thinks that the long sweater combined with the rolled up pants make his legs look about a foot long?

Blogger zincink said ... (2:56 PM) :

I like the textures and color palette..it reeks of "smart"
:)

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:59 PM) :

I love it!!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:42 PM) :

his entire look is in my opinion OK, I am not feeling the pants, as a seperate yes,but here with the rest of the garment it look sloppy.but definitely a man with style!

Blogger Bre said ... (11:17 PM) :

I am in love with the bag and his jacket!

Blogger Benoit said ... (7:51 AM) :
