ooo...luv it! she has an aura of mystery, as if she's hiding something, or she's some kind of sheek spy =)

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:38 AM) :

Fur looks very natural, and colour is so nice! but maybe not with these boots?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:38 AM) :

Blogger Jorge from W Palm Beach said ... (8:41 AM) :

Love it! The coat is one of those things everyone tells you would not go well with the black outfit, but the hell with them and you wear it anyway, and it is fabulous! Jorge from WPB

Blogger Tord said ... (8:42 AM) :

a little too "Grey Gardens."

Blogger TMFA said ... (8:44 AM) :

Great shot!
Love the coat!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:45 AM) :

Very classy. Very 50s. The boots give a sort of 80s twist, which is great.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:53 AM) :

AMAZING coat and purse

Blogger Jack Daniel said ... (8:56 AM) :

Yyyeesss, finally an original styled lady.

Most women are biters but this one is definitely unique.

Excellent find, Scott. Put this one in your book!

J'adore! xx

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:10 AM) :

...i want to go to there

Blogger Oh Dear Charlotte said ... (9:11 AM) :

Beautiful photo. I love how casual hats can give such chic outfits a relaxed feel.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:14 AM) :

I am digging the black ankle boots, but I would have gone darker/lighter with the tights.

Great style, though.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:16 AM) :

very beautiful and classic -- yet modern and current

Blogger Helen said ... (9:30 AM) :

I am adoring this!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:33 AM) :

i can't get into the turban look. maybe it's something in my "mommy dearest" past.

Blogger matthew langley said ... (9:37 AM) :

This is all really lovely. It seem both old world and at the same time modern.

I could not imagine this without the black bag - I think something in a brown range would have been too soft.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:41 AM) :

the coat looks so cozy- i wanna give her a hug!
like the silent colors.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:43 AM) :

Distinct and other worldly. Her cloche and sunnies are lovely. Does the sun ever come out in Paris?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:44 AM) :

She's ready for her close-up, Mr. DeMille.

Blogger Ethan Jayne said ... (9:53 AM) :

and i present to you, mrs. daisy buchanan.

Blogger Natalie J Monty said ... (9:57 AM) :

In awe!...

Luv the vintage sunglasses -very glamourous ensemble! xxx

Blogger Toil and Trouble said ... (10:06 AM) :

now THIS is how a turban is worn. she's lovely and mysterious and i am just dying to know what is under that coat.

Blogger Mary said ... (10:10 AM) :

Love the turban thingie.

Blogger norawoah said ... (10:16 AM) :

oh, she's just perfect. From head to toe, every detail is in place.

Blogger Pretty Lovely said ... (10:25 AM) :

So chic. Love it.

Blogger crowsfeet said ... (10:32 AM) :

Lovely, lovely, lovely
such a starlet -
I love how her black boots anchor her to the pale stones while her hat disappears into the sky... she could be 5 or 15 feet tall.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:42 AM) :

Perfect.

Blogger TAIL said ... (11:08 AM) :

the fact that it's so grey gardens makes it perfect.

Blogger hc said ... (11:12 AM) :

7/10. clean and simple. i love how she didn't atrosh the outfit with gauche shoes. keep it two-toned, dollface.

Blogger Zarna said ... (11:14 AM) :

this is perfection.

Blogger A said ... (11:45 AM) :

Adorable look! And as always very inspirational. The turban (prada? if im not mistaken?) definitely completes this look.

Blogger Amra said ... (12:08 PM) :

This look kinda makes you wish it was winter all over again. So chic and adorable.

Blogger Wanderlusting said ... (12:09 PM) :

Amazing.

Audrey Hepburn (trying to not sound cliche here) would have worn this. In fact, I am sure she did pair a white turban with a fur coat and a chain bag before...

Either that or it harks back to the forties, when the "Exotic East" look was in. Rita Hayworth would have done this in "Shalom" - Love it! I would stop dead in my tracks if I saw this vision coming towards me :)

*Lusty*

Blogger JULES said ... (12:17 PM) :

Sheer unadulterated perfection

great pic as always scott

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:27 PM) :

Audrey Hepburn called...

Blogger sd said ... (12:29 PM) :

put this photo in black and white and it'll look like a photo from way back in the day
it's beautiful

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:54 PM) :

Thank you, soft hat, for not exactly being a turban.

xo holierthannow

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:54 PM) :

She looks so glamorous and cozy. I'd show more hair from underneath the turban like the woman wearing the satin-y pink one from an earlier post. I'm diggin' the turbans. I used to see them as grandma gear. As a matter of fact, I'm buying and/or making one and being prepared for the occassion or place I can wear it. Build it, they will come.

Great balance of blk & wht. Sheer blk hose are still sexy.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:19 PM) :

Love that coat - the whole outfit is perfect as is the photograph.

Blogger CW said ... (1:19 PM) :

An overly conservative faux-fur and hat combo.

Nice shoes.

My mother has that handbag. She's 80.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:28 PM) :

It seems the turban is back, defying backlash and overload from its debut.

Blogger Alvin said ... (1:39 PM) :

i love this, it looks like she has just taken a shower.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:48 PM) :

Love the vintage fur and sunglasses, plus her good sense. Her style will not be cramped by anything vile such as getting cold.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:18 PM) :

it's not my style but this woman has got it together. i love the simple color palette complicated by textures of the coat, bag, stockings and even suede boots.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:19 PM) :

Love the neckline of the coat but the fur does look somewhat matted. Suppose that continues the Grey Gardens theme though...

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:45 PM) :

something very Dr. Zhivagoesque about her...love the booties!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:00 PM) :

One word...Wow

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:05 PM) :

these are turbanlent times...

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:39 PM) :

Now, this is much better example of how turban should be worn, than that "purple- tafetta -shop your own closet -blob -thing" .

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:10 PM) :

Timeless. I'd love to see this shot in b&w.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:48 PM) :

Nope - venturing a little too close to Little Edie Beale territory here.

Blogger CW said ... (7:15 PM) :

I just remembered where I fist saw this faux fur hat and coat combo. The wife of the landlord from "Three's Company" wore it.

Everything old becomes new again.

chsw

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:17 PM) :

Her coat, sunglasses and even headdress remind of chic chic women around the time when Coco Chanel was alive and kicking, in the literal sense.
Yet she smartly modernizes it with the booties and bag.
And those leggings are perfectly sheer.

tres tres tres magnifique.

Blogger Unknown said ... (8:31 PM) :

is she clutching an iphone?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:36 PM) :

that is soooo clasic! what a movie star.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:35 PM) :

this is, by far, my favorite sartorialist look ever

Blogger annie said ... (10:33 PM) :

holy moly, she is simply divine

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:46 PM) :

Oh my goodness and ooh la la. She is so amazingly beautiful. She wears the coat, the turban the sunglasses, the bag..........
all of it with such grace (a la Kelly) and style. I couldn't agree more.....holy moly!!! Magnifique.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:39 AM) :

I'm waiting for Godard to jump in the frame and say "Cut"!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:58 AM) :

i'm usually not a big fan of booties, but this is a nice way to wear them.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:42 AM) :

At long last. Something that is not black! Great!

Blogger esther said ... (2:34 AM) :

she is the epitomy of parisian style.

Blogger Carmen said ... (3:52 AM) :

Blogger The Clever Pup said ... (8:27 AM) :

Sorry, Silly and matronly on someone so young.

Blogger Odin's Maven said ... (8:41 AM) :

Total Hitchcock femme fatale with a past! Love it. A lot of the glamour in this shot just comes from her pose.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:55 AM) :

stunning, even if she does appear to be wearing a muppet...

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:58 AM) :

pretty in pink

Blogger Welcome to the Monkey House said ... (1:32 PM) :

I really really really really love this. I wish I could think of a more sophisticated way of saying so, but this will have to do.

Blogger Da_Sa said ... (1:44 PM) :

Is it Victoria Gazinskaya??? The girl looks like her

Blogger Joy Mars said ... (3:39 PM) :

So fifties! So cuddly!

The odd pinkish color of the coat is what sparks the fifties associations, and she knew it and went for the turban. Very smart!

If the turban had matched the coat, it would have looked laughable. That it is slightly off makes it look intelligent.

I like all the different lengths that people are wearing these days. No one's partial to any one length. Whatever works!

This is one woman who is equal parts smart and sexy.

Kudos!

There should be an MG roadster waiting for her around the corner.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:28 PM) :

Anonymous mimi said ... (6:31 AM) :

this is one of the best photos of yours ive seen in a while, sart.

its amazing.. the mysterious (or maybe not so mysterious as people can identify her!) woman, the fabulously worn turban, the not-so-perfect fur coat which makes it all the more perfect, the sleek ankle booties, the retro sunnglasses.. with the beautiful parisian background..

j'adore this photo a million times over. x

Blogger Stephanie said ... (10:29 AM) :

I just love this outfit and the photo.

Anonymous meredith said ... (2:44 PM) :

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:09 PM) :

this is perfection. obsessed with the glasses. beautiful.

Blogger Bookworm said ... (9:52 PM) :

She looks very mysterious. I love it all. A very old fashioned, Audrey Hepburn-ish look from the glasses to the head wrap thingy. And the coat looks warm!

Blogger Unknown said ... (12:08 AM) :

Why can't there be more women like this...

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:55 PM) :

i love the coat and turban seperately but together they make her look like she just got out of the shower

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:51 PM) :

So Chic! This kind of style is rarely seen here in San Francisco.

Blogger Unknown said ... (8:02 AM) :

Nice to see such a fresh look coming from eastern side

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:54 AM) :

I am whole-heartedly in love with this woman. She is enchanting. No comment could do her justice, she is absolutely perfect. OMG!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:11 PM) :

Now that's timeless elegance - thank you. The ensemble is quickly comprehended with no one element stealing the spotlight. And it could be worn by a wide range of women, agewise. It's also practical keeping the wearer warm head to toe. Love it.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:49 AM) :

The boots and purse are SO chic!

Anonymous Jannemieke said ... (7:32 AM) :
