when I opened the site, the first i saw were the rosy cheeks, the cute haircut and sweet smile...then a scrolled down and...uuups.
There is a hungarian phrase: a shy cat jumps bigger...I think it fits here perfect.
The blue color is beautiful.
The only thing I am uncertain about are the pants...tights would be perhaps better.

Blogger junglesiren said ... (12:02 PM) :

Leather and feathers go together like Valentino and spray tan (I love King Valentino - just riffing on the obvious). The first thing that slays me here is the color. How I love midnight blue. Secondly what a chic collection of textures.

I don't think that the ostrich (if that's what it is) bit is a skirt, it looks like it's attached to a cardigan. How clever and flirty and funky all at once.

Feathers are great for a playful impact and here they're done the perfect way: In a beautiful rich hue and paired with more "masculine" pieces - leather jacket, heavy pants, and keeping it all monochromatic and without preciousness or fussiness and, most importantly, without anything sparkling (which looks trashy or Vegasy with feathers). You gotta rock feathers with casual nonchalance, that's all there is to that.

Lastly, note how there's nothing fighting with the feathers to be the center of attention..... except her beautiful face which may just win the battle. She's lovely and that haircut is killer.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:10 PM) :

cute. Her hair really makes this look work.

Blogger Theresa said ... (12:25 PM) :

Nice outfit, nice smile and nice ... poetry (or nearly) !

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:48 PM) :

She looks great. I love the fluffiness with the jacket. And that's a hell of a smile! (Helps that her hair is super cute too.)

Blogger Fly Girl said ... (12:57 PM) :

Those are feather and the jolt of cobalt blue with the girly feathers is fabulous!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:05 PM) :

i think its marabou stork feathers - non? ugly bird, nice plumage...

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:07 PM) :

My dear Sart, I do beleive those are indeed ostrich feathers, so your title's clever and accurate.

How cute and sophiticated and fresh and classic this looks. Navy blue is so less severe and hard than black and still it offers the same simplicity. Such a wonderful color as illustrated here. I find the pants so unexpected and so perftect. Everything about her dress is perfect. I'm genuinely and eternally flabbergasted by how Parisiennes adorn themselves. For the life of me, I cannot locate the source from which their inspiration springs.

Blogger Aline Dahl said ... (1:21 PM) :

perfect picture!

Blogger Tristan said ... (1:22 PM) :

Thanks, something to distract from completing ny tax form bla!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:22 PM) :

She and her outfit are too cute!

Anyone know where the feathery skirt is from?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:33 PM) :

Love the jacket. No feathers for me but she look adorable.

Blogger amalie said ... (1:34 PM) :

woww, that is so cute.
loving the blue color !

Blogger porchmouse said ... (1:50 PM) :

I wish I had her hair. I wish I could pull it off. Lovely.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:58 PM) :

This reminds me wonderfully of the Louis Vuitton ads featuring Madonna (the ONLY living goddess!!)--and it was strange how Madonna was called out for wearing such an outfit . . . !
What a fun sense of style--what a sense of humour and whimsy!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:06 PM) :

Oh i luuuurrve this so much! She's so friggin cute. Yay, blue!

Blogger J. said ... (2:07 PM) :

Blue is one of my favorite colors for spring, and she pulls it off wonderfully. The feather skirt is an interesting touch and she pulls it off well!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:10 PM) :

MHhhmmmmmmmm..... I don't like this

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:13 PM) :

Love this!!!!!!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:24 PM) :

some people are just beautiful enough to pull of anything...
i wish i was one of those people who can wear clothes like hers without looking completely ridiculous...
in any case: she's a rocket!

Blogger T.Nicole said ... (2:24 PM) :

I want that skirt!

Blogger Shadan said ... (2:28 PM) :

So Cute!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:32 PM) :

She makes me want to glue gun feathers to my jeans and float home!

Blogger anonwomen said ... (2:44 PM) :

So fresh and fun. The play on textures here is great. The leather keeps the feathers from being too frou frou. I think the colour really makes it work, in black I dont think this look would 'sing' as much.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:45 PM) :

I am getting this cut ASAP

Blogger John B Pritchett said ... (2:51 PM) :

Very playful- her outfit and smile!

Blogger Stephanie Clayton said ... (2:53 PM) :

ah-door-rah-blah (adorable)She would be fun all day long. Love her.

Blogger John Danner said ... (3:58 PM) :

I don't know what that is, but she could be wearing a Muppet.

Blogger Dominica said ... (4:10 PM) :

Blue is such an amazing colour and hell yeah, those look like feathers to me ...:-)

Blogger Emmadime said ... (4:29 PM) :

Can I be her please?

Blogger Hickers said ... (4:37 PM) :

I love this picture. The haircut is the best and the feathers are something different.
Am I the only one who is concerned about the dangers of smoking when wearing this outfit? If you see her Sart, please point out this potential hazard, as I'll only worry.

Blogger Brigadeiro said ... (4:50 PM) :

Perfect and effortless, not an easy feat with feathers! Absolutely gorgeous!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:57 PM) :

I know the kind of woman that wears such a confident, relaxed smile with such open, friendly eyes, and her outfit reflects that personality beautifully. I, too, would have preferred to see this ensemble with tights instead of the pant, as it throws a distracting balancing effect into this silhouette instead of letting the leathers and feathers (oh you, touche!) sing like they would. Great color for her and yes, I believe the skirt is Louis Vuitton. But I am naive as to who she is; can someone please share her name and profession, since several people seem to know who she is?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:02 PM) :

Cool jacket and love the hair! Such a chic lady.

Blogger indigo warrior said ... (5:08 PM) :

It's marabou. But what rhymes with that? Caribou? No. Then you would be relating this lovely, girly-girl to a stork and a moose. That would be no good.

The feathers and leathers work. So does her outfit. So does the picture!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:20 PM) :

Yay! This photo made me smile. No judgment. This is just a happy image.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:36 PM) :

Simply the freshest of enchantment!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:47 PM) :

Style and imagination non stop. It is increasing, isn´t it? Elegance and freedom.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:47 PM) :

nice blog

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:03 PM) :

I LOVE her haircut!

Blogger NVA said ... (6:36 PM) :

great colour...
i love it

what about the title: leathers rhymes with weather too

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:52 PM) :

Those are definitely feathers... but is the jacket even leather? Perhaps "quilt and quills"

She is truly beautiful and you can see her sense of fun when you look at that smile. If I can't be her, at least I would like to be her friend.

What a delightful face shape, beautiful complexion, adorable hair... and a sense of cheeky fun to tie it all together.

Love it.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:59 PM) :

Yes to the haircut! So refreshing. Down with ubiquitous long locks. Snoooore.

Blogger Chelsea Lee said ... (7:14 PM) :

this girl is lovely and i adore the combination of leather and feather here. well done.

Blogger Jack Daniel said ... (7:34 PM) :

her jacket is the best!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:57 PM) :

I love how everyone in Paris dresses as creative as the Carrie Bradshaw character in Sex And The City. I sure wish I lived there.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:35 PM) :

I saw this lady walking on rue de castiglione, and I passed her thinking, "wow was she wearing feathers?!" how cool. I love it.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:45 AM) :

Cuuuute! the hair and the feathers are a like shape, with the smile, cute!

Blogger la principessa emicrania said ... (4:34 AM) :

this outfit's perfection to me.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:54 AM) :

The Hat Lady: There's no way that everyone in Paris dresses like this! Sart just knows where to go to find the ones that do. I am used to seeing lots of chic women in, say, nice jeans, nice flats, a nice little top and a nice bag - classy but not wildly fashionable. I certainly never see people dressed like this more than once in a blue moon! It depends where you hang out, I guess.

Blogger Julicious Fashionicious said ... (6:14 AM) :

Umm she is so cute and the feather is season trend!!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:47 AM) :

Feathers or not - it looks fabulous, especially in this beautiful dark blue.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:37 AM) :

@the hat lady : mmmh not everyone in paris dress like CB...believe me!!!!!and parisian believe NYer all dress like carrie... its funny I believe all girls all over the world have a fantasy of a city where they would dare and take the time to wear super cool Tutu like feather dresses with 78inches heel louboutin they would afford with all the million dollar they fantasy fashion job would pay them...oh and also they would have some cool place to attend where the cool crowd would totally get the feathers thing ...

Blogger Dan in Richmond said ... (8:18 AM) :

This is wonderful. The image loaded slowly and as soon as I came to the feathers I began to smile- actually I laughed out loud, but in delight! She's lovely, too.

Blogger Laura @ The World Looks Red said ... (8:35 AM) :

Amazing, i like the colour. Great skirt!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:21 AM) :

I am totally with Anon 5:20, this picture just makes me smile. Gorgeous girl, gorgeous ensemble! And that hair - amazing!

Blogger Marina, Chloé et Andy said ... (3:57 PM) :

amazeing look, specially the feather skirt!!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:58 PM) :

I don't think its a skirt either... it really looks like its part of the cardigan, and I think that makes it make sense with the pants. She looks great!

Blogger Gaia said ... (4:18 PM) :

this is lovelyyy

Blogger older said ... (4:20 PM) :

she is so beautiful! and her outfit is perfect

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:42 PM) :

I love how the proportions of her hair match the proportion of her outfit.

Blogger Joy Mars said ... (5:41 PM) :

The square jacket with the square face. With a poof of feathers echoing the shape of her hair.

What a poem.

Blue is it this year, nez pas?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:00 AM) :

what a beautiful shot. I love how the wind is ruffling her 'feathers'.

What a dream! The beautiful blues and her ruddy cheeks!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:16 AM) :

Diana, I think you will find, that the hungarian saying goes "sly bunny jumps big", and it's not at all a complimentary saying...this young lady however haas the most amazing smile, hair and I adore her jacket!
