Have a great time in SP! Even though it's not as beautiful as Rio... Can't wait to see brazilian pics here. I miss home! (brazilian living in UK).

Have a nice trip!

Blogger Unknown said ... (9:16 AM) :

yey!!!! São Paulo!!! Can´t wait to see the pics you´re gonna take here!!!

Blogger Soren Lorensen said ... (9:16 AM) :

I like that he is wearing longs (my mum says they can't be called shorts when they're that long)
with such a subsatntial coat/jacket.

and i like how he is looking off and i wonder what he is looking at.

Anonymous CrisTina said ... (9:17 AM) :

Great!!! I just sent you a kiss from BRazil on the other picture...
So, I'll be waiting for news.

welcome Brazil, sart!

Blogger Jorge from W Palm Beach said ... (9:50 AM) :

Hm. Is he shirtless? I love an all-black ensemble but I feel that there is a focal point missing here, like a belt buckle in silver or the like. I love the weight of the coat's fabric, and the contrast between the shiny and the matte parts. Jorge from WPB

Blogger ana said ... (9:55 AM) :

Nice leather jacket!

Blogger Unknown said ... (9:57 AM) :

I've lived in SP for 4 years. Make sure you leave Jardins to go to neighborhoods like Baixo Augusta/Consolação, Pinheiros, and Vila Madalena.

Blogger stylethread said ... (9:57 AM) :

homeless or houte? houteless? regardless, shirtless with a trench coat is brave...

Good luck in Sao
Paulo!!!!...interesting picture.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:31 AM) :

Wow! I wonder how he is designed beneath . . . Handsome dude! Lots of courage here!

Anonymous princess glee said ... (11:54 AM) :

Honestly, I probably shouldn't say it but...he's just this side of scary. Still, I like his hat. His bag and shoes match, which I usually hate but here it's on a man and it's not trying to coordinate with anything so I find it clever. The rest is so dark I can't tell what's going on. Ambivalence.

Blogger Thais said ... (12:08 PM) :

this is great! good luck in sao paulo! xoxo

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:09 PM) :

Sorry Scott... but as a long time follower/fan of your blog+work, am a bit disappointed on the last two pics... other cities (if you keep scrolling down) have appealingly styled or interesting people, but the last two NYC shots are puzzling... a sorority-styled sloppy girl in flip flops and a chimney-sweep-looking fellow... Not your best shots...

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:15 PM) :

great, great photograph!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:10 PM) :

i love the outfit, would be great if you could enlighten us on the shirt issue, looks like he is wearing one on the lower torso? how does it work?

p.s. it is great to see pictures from around the world, but i also get the feeling that ny is always freer or more daring. might just be the backgrounds. thanks for the work.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:10 PM) :

It appears that there's some sort of image/tattoo on his chest, maybe The Joker? Anyway, the dark clothing is a very striking contrast to the obviously sunny day.

Blogger Hanna Persson said ... (1:14 PM) :

This is a great photo!

Blogger needle+thread said ... (1:19 PM) :

love the black on black... there's a guy here in seattle who has a very similar style... i've looked for him and looked for him, but never find him when i have my camera...

Anonymous Fernando said ... (4:29 PM) :

enjoy sao paulo. so happy to see that you will take pics in my city, hehe !!!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:33 PM) :

I love your dark silhouettes. There were several some weeks ago where a figure was using her cloak to protect herself from the wind. This one has a similar character to that.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:42 PM) :

Looking forward to seeing the São Paulo pictures!

Anonymous Alex said ... (4:50 PM) :

Don't need to say anything to this pic, it's simply great within the setting.

Please take a look for the racecourse in Sao Paulo, it's such a stunning atmosphere and there're also plenty of potential shoots!

Blogger M&S said ... (5:00 PM) :

nice contrast black/light

Blogger just.a.train said ... (5:35 PM) :

There are intense shadows in this photo...but it adds something to the outfit.

Anonymous adrian said ... (6:23 PM) :

PLEASE come to Rio! it's a dream of mine to run into you. Plus it's a more beautiful city.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:49 PM) :

he seems a little over-dressed for an obviously warm, spring day...

Blogger junglesiren said ... (6:53 PM) :

I love it! A soul brotha/Artfull Dodger. Charles Dickens would swoon.

Hi There,
1st time leaving a comment. Love your work!
So glad to know you are going to Brazil. Next time go to Ceara, it is in the Northeast of the country. It's a beautiful estate! How do I know? I'm from there, but I am leaving in the U.S. for over 10 years.
I am looking forward to see the pics*!*
Have a safe trip.
Bye,Bye

Anonymous The Mental Fashionist said ... (7:54 PM) :

He may look hot to me, as warm/heat/hot that way, not that hot as handsome/hot. Anyway .. I can't keep my eyes from his face, look like he looks into the sun, and the heat that he wishes he has a cold drink right there :P

but I like his combination of this outfit of his, maybe he wants to leave the jacket at home next time, the whole outfit looks great (but as I said: he looks burnout!)

Blogger Unknown said ... (8:15 PM) :

i love nyc! it's such the place to be and people watching is always interesting. love the hat in this picture. the background is quite unique and compliments his outfit well in a weird way!

i'm looking forward to your pics from brasil!

by the way, when would you be nyc or boston?? i would love to meet you in person!!!

Anonymous Pete C. said ... (9:19 PM) :

Good luck in Brazil. I'd be willing to bet that you'd find some good subjects in Vila Madalena. Boa Sorte.

Blogger orchid lover said ... (9:43 PM) :

Know it's your aesthetic, but how come you rarely post photos of darker men, and on the rare occasion you do, you choose to make it so hard to see their faces, and in this case even their clothes?

Here's hoping you photograph people of color in the Brazilian sunlight.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:22 PM) :

hi i hope you are not going to be afraid and go out and take pictures on the steet...
cant wait
a brazilian in ny

Anonymous Twin XL said ... (10:45 PM) :

Great pictures. Nice blog.

Blogger Unknown said ... (1:15 AM) :

Please have a Caipiroska for me!!!! can't wait for your pics from Brazil!

Anonymous Daniel Avila said ... (2:37 AM) :

bad, bad timing... i am not going back to são paulo at least until august! it would be nice running into you...
anyway, you should come to tokyo sometime, too. japanese street fashion, although most of the time against my own personal convictions, can often be surprisingly inspiring!

Anonymous ralu said ... (4:51 AM) :

he has a shirt actually, a dark shirt with a face on it :P
I too thought he was shirtless at first.I like his style, works for me.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:26 AM) :

He is fantastic - one of the reasons why I love NYC

Blogger David said ... (5:36 AM) :

'I love shooting here'
One can tell.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:46 AM) :

Very Stong and Stimulating Shot you took. I'm digging his blue bag and blue shoes.

Blogger Hek said ... (6:02 AM) :

What a beautiful shot!

Blogger Gabi Davies said ... (8:30 PM) :

i love the back in black. maybe if he added a tone of flashing colour would make an interesting contrast. i love it, and by the way.. you should come to rio, and try to help them get dressed. because even though we've got our style, we are too much relaxed.
