OOOh love the striped shirt under the cardie. Nice & comfortable. I'm loving BK style.

Blogger Miiicha said ... (10:51 AM) :

Summer feeling all over,

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:55 AM) :

how on earth did he find a cardigan to match his dog?
Despite the fact that the striped shirt is terribly trendy right now, I still love the simplicity and graphic boldness of his outfit. I also love the puppy Does anyone know the breed: Akita? Finnish Spitz?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:56 AM) :

love the shoes :)

Blogger Mr Brown said ... (11:01 AM) :

Good look.

Dog and cardigan in perfect harmony.

I love the colour of his cardigan and his adorable dog.

BTW: The dog is a Finnish Spitz :

so freakin adorable!!!!!! o yeah...the dog too. ;-)

Blogger Hanna Persson said ... (11:20 AM) :

they match eachother so well :)

Blogger Saffron said ... (11:20 AM) :

This image is a gem!

Blogger Style Salvage Steve said ... (11:21 AM) :

A masterclass in relaxed Summer dressing. The splash of colour in the cardigan works so well with the blue and navy of the rest of the look...plus it helps to have a colour co-ordinated dog (Akita I think...)

Anonymous Brian Chan said ... (11:22 AM) :

that's a shiba inu. i have one named jenga. and i also dress like this guy. i thought it was me for a second!

Blogger MM said ... (11:22 AM) :

dog's a Shiba Inu - a japanese dog!

Blogger Clarity said ... (11:28 AM) :

It takes a brave man to pull off orange and walk a fox.

Anonymous kamo said ... (11:30 AM) :

the doggie's a shiba! i have one, never thought to match him to my ensemble ;)

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:37 AM) :

The dog looks like an Akita mix, but I'm not sure. Resembles an Akita/Shepherd mix we once had.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:38 AM) :

guessing the dog is a shiba inu!

Anonymous Miaz said ... (11:45 AM) :

I think that the dog is a shiba. I love this casual style.. some people just have the skill to look effortlessly cool :)

Blogger Diana said ... (11:46 AM) :

Did he know, that you took a photo of him?
Hm, I think he did.
Recently I read at Jak&Jil, that he (the blogger) likes your perfectionism, that you never take snapshot.

This shade of "orange" is a very touchy color and fits only a few.

The doggy is certainly a love-child of a spitz and a fox :-)))))

Blogger A Super Dilettante said ... (11:46 AM) :

I think bright orange colour is definitely in at the moment!!!

Blogger Unknown said ... (11:49 AM) :

It's not just the color..I love that there is a rhythm to his body and the dog. follow the line from the curve of his rump and the dogs chest..wonderful!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:10 PM) :

@Anonymous (10:55 AM): It looks smaller than a Finnish Spitz. I'd say a Shiba Inu (telltale sign is the 'urajiro', or white underside, from jaw to tail - a distinguishing feature of Shiba Inu's).

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:10 PM) :

The dog is a Shiba Inu - they are a Japanese breed. I also love the dog/cardigan combo.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:11 PM) :

I believe the dog is a Shiba Inu (related to the Akita).

Blogger bamber whatever said ... (12:14 PM) :

Blogger Crimsonite said ... (12:15 PM) :

Love the colours!

Blogger Soren Lorensen said ... (12:16 PM) :

This outfit is summer simplcity

but mainly what I like is how he's squatting, because he looks so childlike and innocent, just a boy with a dog.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:21 PM) :

the dog is a shiba inu

Blogger Emma said ... (12:24 PM) :

Wow, this look is definitely gonna be my inspiration for the summer. Brilliant. Love the dog as well :)

Anonymous ashley said ... (12:25 PM) :

everything works. the outfit, the sunglasses, the haircut, even the dog

Anonymous ioio said ... (12:33 PM) :

awesome cardigan color

Blogger NVA said ... (12:35 PM) :

the colour is fresh for the summer...

Anonymous maru said ... (12:39 PM) :

The dog is a Japanese Shiba Inu (remember the shiba inu videocam?): http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shiba_Inu

Blogger Marissa said ... (12:47 PM) :

Not sure how I feel about the matchy pet&owner thing, but he gets points for having a Shiba Inu... That's a style statement in and of itself - I approve!

Blogger hc said ... (1:01 PM) :

the black and white stripe has been everywhere in nyc since late february.. looks great and not as stale as one would expect by now.

Blogger Stephanie said ... (3:26 PM) :

LOVE IT. Love the cardigan, love the Shiba Inu. Beautiful!!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:26 PM) :

I love a touch of orange! It matches the Shiba Inu perfectly - amazing that he is not covered in dog hair as that breed sheds hair by the fistful!

Anonymous Ted said ... (3:36 PM) :

Guy looks like the assassin from the movie "traffic". I will not name the breed of the dog as 43 other people have.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:10 PM) :

APC cardigan from this season

Anonymous Ty said ... (4:13 PM) :

I've seen this kid around the neighborhood before. Come to think of it-He was wearing stripes and rolled up pants, with Shiba Inu in a bag.

Blogger CW said ... (4:19 PM) :

Nice doggie.

I compliment the young man in the photo. It takes imagination to use your dog's shed hair to knit a sweater.

Blogger Metro Profiles LA said ... (5:33 PM) :

The dog is definitely a Shiba Inu. They are wonderful dogs and of the Spitz family. Even though striped shirts are trendy, I still love them and have many. Nice picture!

Blogger Alvin said ... (6:25 PM) :

that cardigan matches the dog, i love it and how the striped shirt goes with it too.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:27 PM) :

Are those espadrilles?
The stripe tee is APC, I think.
The cardigan is definitely APC.
And that dog is a fox.

Anonymous mimi said ... (6:47 PM) :

i literally wore the female version of this outfit during the australian summer six months ago.. mustard cardi, same colour bubble shorts.. the colour combination is gorgeous!

as is the dog! :)

Blogger Luka Ivanišević said ... (7:21 PM) :

You can realy feel New York through your photos.

Anonymous kirk said ... (8:11 PM) :

I have a huge black and white great dane...and nothing looks cooler than dressing in black and white and walking him...its like a magazine shoot.

Blogger Hannah said ... (8:13 PM) :

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:45 PM) :

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:56 PM) :

This is Sidney Prawatyotin and his dog Eno (which he typically carries in a bag!). He is the PR guy for NY designer Lela Rose. Adorable!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:01 PM) :

Style points for having a Shiba Inu! I have one too and have found myself subconsciously wearing more autumnal colors and less black. Lovely little foxes!

Blogger diane said ... (11:40 PM) :

I guess sometimes owners really do resemble their pets.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:40 PM) :

sorry i only focus on the dog in this pic. it's too adorable that i forget to see the person...

Blogger Rei Enrique said ... (1:30 AM) :

Very nice, I'm admiring his cardigan.

Blogger J. said ... (2:09 AM) :

i always say that a dog and its owner always resemble one another. this is a great example!

Blogger V said ... (2:19 AM) :

@Luka Ivanisevic: I love your expression that we can really feel NY through Scott's photos - totally agree!

Love the doggie-cardi color combo as with all the other blog readers :) orange and blue is an unbeatable summer pairing.

His shades rock!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:29 AM) :

I always think this shade of orange would wash me out because of my darker complexion. . . I guess not ;) And boy do I love striped shirts (horizontal, vertical, diagonal, etc)!

Anywho, I like how stripes have suddenly become "trendy", because you know, they've never ever in history been around until now. K Bye.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:07 AM) :

Sart, please come back to Manhattan!!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:09 AM) :

That colour is gorgeous, but the shoes are insignificant. Nice Photo!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:08 AM) :

The tee is American Apparel. I'm wearing it right now!

Anonymous Sophie, the Barton Girl said ... (6:24 AM) :

How fantastically harmonious!
The tshirt and pants; the dog and cardi; the pumps and leash - all the colours tie this lovely pair together in the most composed of ways... whilst achieving a sweet casual look... Perfection, I tell you.
You have a unique eye for this sort of thing!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:19 AM) :

Curious about the sunglasses, is it a Persol 649?

Blogger Angeles Almuna said ... (10:12 AM) :

Blogger Unknown said ... (11:13 AM) :

thats a brilliant color. both dog and cardigan. <3

Anonymous Hannah W. said ... (3:40 PM) :

Love the color combo. Such a beautiful shot.
Stripes = trendy?!? I guess I've always considered stripes to be so classic and thus impervious to being considered a trend. But then again— I've never met a stripe I didn't like.

Blogger Unknown said ... (5:16 PM) :

Pretty sure the cardigan is A.P.C.

Blogger Jack Daniel said ... (11:26 PM) :

Wow, GREAT outfit and a lovely dog!

Anonymous Words About Things said ... (7:23 AM) :

cool pic! They look really cute together, matching perfectly!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:29 PM) :

It's a great photo. While I am not a fan of orange, this combination is great.

Interesting that no one has commented on how strong his legs must be to sit like that, unsupported.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:22 PM) :

is the cardigan from a.p.c.'s spring 09 line?

Blogger Alexis S. Baker said ... (1:32 PM) :

Blogger Tiger Fodder said ... (4:45 PM) :
