I like the outfit- with all these garments like this jacket, I always wonder how many times the subject wears them before they get sent to the back of the closet... Jorge from WPB

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:17 AM) :

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:01 AM) :

this is fashion! humor and quirk. he looks so fab.

Anonymous Hannah said ... (11:18 AM) :

Oooooooooh this is perfect - one of the best looks I've seen in a while. The shirt + blazer = pure love. Also love his beard and braids - unusual look, but it so works on him! Now I'm curious about his shoes!

The blazer is so unique and I like how he individualizes the outfit further by adding the tee!

Blogger Unknown said ... (12:33 PM) :

Takes a certain amount of gumption to even purchase this blazer. I envy this person.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:43 PM) :

I wonder what Mr. Ginsberg would think of this t...I find it super-creepy, but surely the Buddhist in the man himself would love it! (Gorgeous blazer and braids, though.)

Blogger junglesiren said ... (2:00 PM) :

That tee is a Howl.

Ginsberg... great poet and not so great founding member of NAMBLA.

Can't help but wonder which aspect of Ginsberg this dude is into.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:02 PM) :

I love the contrast between the floral-y jacket and the ..scary t-shirt and how his beard matches the one on the tee.

Blogger Crimsonite said ... (2:19 PM) :

cool I want that Ginsburg tee! His one of my icons!!

Blogger caramimi said ... (3:06 PM) :

now that's what i'm talking about! ;)

Who is Ginsberg?

Anonymous Rrroma said ... (8:02 PM) :

Ill T. I want one.
I'll hop a train to Florence for it.

Blogger CW said ... (8:20 PM) :

Nice outer shirt. The bearded skull is too weird. I prefer my t-shirt of Che Guevara with the red slash over his face.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:52 PM) :

"I wonder what Mr. Ginsberg would think of this t.."

He would probably be annoyed that his face has been slapped on a tshirt to be sold as a commodity fashion statement and sold in malls.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:58 PM) :

Does anyone know where to buy this shirt?

Blogger Mikey!!! said ... (11:35 PM) :

That jacket is AMAZING! Its very Summer-ish, daring yet stylish. Great look!

Blogger indigo warrior said ... (11:51 PM) :

I met Ginsberg once. I think he'd be amused.

Blogger Unknown said ... (11:55 PM) :

what an amazing jacket... do you think he made it? crazy fabric... really different...

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:34 AM) :

inspiration

Blogger Daisy said ... (12:57 AM) :

wow. the coolest jacket ever!
seriously.
what a cool dude

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:56 AM) :

the t-shirt is nice, but the jacket is really lovely.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:05 AM) :

I am intrigued...and a little scared

Blogger Unknown said ... (7:56 AM) :

Wow, I just looove the jacket!!!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:20 AM) :

Ginsberg once went to the Amazon to experience "Yajé", a spirit medicine also known as "Ayahuasca" or "The vine of the dead". Based on that, and the fact he was a poet, I think adds to the intentional humour (and poetic nature) of the shirt.

Blogger José said ... (11:07 AM) :

haha a Ginsberg Tee. I like his sense of humour.
And the jacket is simply rad!

Anonymous Liza said ... (11:59 AM) :

Everything about this is awesome...

Blogger G2 said ... (12:41 PM) :

Dang! I wish more older men dressed as imaginatively as this man; the feminine/masculine play of beard and braids, flower print and black denim, as well as the layers of questions raised by the Ginsberg image make this man interesting, sexy and edge-y -- not usual for men his age (outside the arts communities) and even in the arts world, he stands out.

Sart, your images of stylish men are a treat.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:47 PM) :

Love the fruity jacket! I knew Ginsberg. Best likeness of him I've seen yet.

Blogger Gary K. said ... (4:48 PM) :

Sart, I like most of your photos and most of the adventurous style I see in them. This one just makes me go, "Oh, come on." It's just silly. Sorry.

Anonymous belle said ... (7:29 PM) :

WOW!!! This is the greatest jacket I've seen in a long time!!! Excellent!

Anonymous Le 21ème said ... (8:01 PM) :

Forget the T....the jacket!!!!

Blogger Charlene said ... (1:22 AM) :

that tee is sick. i saw the whole series of it on a mag once, with other icons and thought it was the coolest shirt ever. and on him, its just perfect!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:04 PM) :

scary and horrible, imho

Blogger JC said ... (11:26 PM) :

Refreshing. Someone doing their own thing. Putting it out there and wearing their clothes with confidence. I don't think he's a lawyer... said the bearded skeleton "I won't wear the shirt" said the fashionista skeleton "only with a prada skirt".

Blogger Angels (with Beards Of Stars) Satori said ... (3:44 AM) :

Thanks to the Sartorialist for one of the best pictures of me... waow so much enthousiasm there about the tee and the jacket.

TEE can be bought at TOKYO HIPSTER CLUB (Tokyo) and jacket (cotton and silk printed) is from MANDO (tokyo-Japan) which i represent.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:48 PM) :

I've been trying to find a place online to buy this amazing Ginsberg skull t-shirt, with no luck. Can't seem to find a website for Tokyo Hipsters Club. If anyone can locate where to get this online and post a link here, I would be greatly appreciative.
