Love the John Waters stash and the folded hand pose.
Another shot of good old American style on a gorgeous day.

Blogger lets play a game like musical statues said ... (9:19 AM) :

I love how short his tie is :)
Great photography as always.

Blogger Jazzbuff630 said ... (9:20 AM) :

John Waters.

Anonymous tj said ... (9:24 AM) :

How many times has this guy been confused with John Waters?

You be the judge.

The clothes work with the exception of the square-toe shoes.
The tie clasp is a nice touch of class.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:02 AM) :

what style! love the stripes.

Blogger Erik Hoff said ... (10:06 AM) :

I love eccentric socks but I just never know how to wear them, this guy clearly does.

Blogger Angeles Almuna said ... (10:34 AM) :

It looks like an old movie, You capture the best characters with your shots!!!!!!

Anonymous ac said ... (10:51 AM) :

where is this at, i must know and why is everyone dressed so nice. please someone help me out

Anonymous Hannah said ... (11:20 AM) :

I adore his tie and shoes! Very cute persona.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:23 AM) :

The socks do it for me. What a way to jazz up an otherwise bland outfit.

Blogger Kelly said ... (12:23 PM) :

p.s. I saw John Waters the other day here in SF in a local cafe. I almost squeeled as I always wished he was my Uncle... (we have the same last name)

Great Shot!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:38 PM) :

Wow I know this guy. He's in a really good rockabilly band, but I forget the name. He always looks this great. It's nice to see real people from the scene having their style celebrated on this site. I'd rather see this guy than fashion industry professionals who carry their stuff around in bags worth more than my car.

Anonymous REINESZENE said ... (12:47 PM) :

nice photography, with the short tie and closely collar!

for the small men PERFEKT!

Blogger rottenpossum said ... (1:34 PM) :

I completely agree about the square toe comment. Otherwise this is wonderful.

Blogger Maria Confer said ... (2:06 PM) :

Love how little he is. His shoes and socks and mustache are what make it.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:28 PM) :

The trousers are a perfect colour for summer and the light blue on the tie picks them up just right. The drape is fantastic and the fabric looks like a great weight - light and breezy for the season. More agreement on the socks. The tie bar is a great example of how just one accessory is all a man needs. The only thing I'll say by way of criticism is the shirt - avoid pockets at all cost in a more formal setting and slim shorter men should avoid them entirely, they tend to engulf the front of the shirt. Apart from that minor note, this ensemble is impeccable. Bravo!

Blogger Jack Daniel said ... (3:42 PM) :

He´s a big inspiration for me. :)

Anonymous Bombshell Kitten said ... (4:27 PM) :

J'adore! Where is this and how can I get there? Everyone seems so well dressed, though I do agree with the square toed shoe comment.

Blogger Stacy said ... (6:11 PM) :

love how the outfit is so put together and professional and he has bright striped socks. it looks so fun

Hilarious! The material and fit and color of the pants are awesome.

Blogger Kim Huston said ... (7:44 PM) :

His band is called Susquehanna Industrial Tool and Die. They are awesome! The whole band looks like this all the time!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:01 AM) :

Really? He looks like the weird guy people avoid in the shops.

Blogger just.a.train said ... (5:04 AM) :

Stripped socks are the BEST. Everybody should wear them. Really.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:16 AM) :

I am blissfully taken away by this and other the other shots in this series, I am so very tired of photos of 'it' outfits and the people who wear them. This image speaks volumes to me, it has depth and character.I want to know more about him and his life. It fills me with questions and I love this in an image. x

Blogger Noa Raviv said ... (6:52 AM) :

I really like the tie! nice picture!

Blogger Tiger Fodder said ... (4:39 PM) :

This screams John Waters, except this guy has style. I love it!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:09 PM) :

Is that John Waters?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:03 PM) :

Cool. I wish he was wearing a jacket, but it's nice as it is, in a retro americana way.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:07 AM) :

Love the socks--and is that a pinned collar? Shoes are rather comically square.

Blogger noelakadjtambour said ... (4:35 AM) :

charming man, i sense that he has a lot of stories to tell; funny ones at that

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:40 AM) :

Squared toe brogues!! Now they're really squared aren't they?! And not just a bit. Must be 90 degrees each angle!
Whatever happened to the pointy toe fad? The really pointy ones!! Not just a bit!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:52 AM) :

love his socks!

Anonymous Bazza said ... (7:31 AM) :

Looks like one of the kids i used to beat up in highschool.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:57 PM) :

OMG! That is the guy who I met because he was trapped on the subway car with me down there. Good choice of person to take, as was the older gentleman above.

The only pictures that I was expecting, and haven't seen yet:

was a gorgeous guy who had on a henley and blue trousers with his super cute daughter who was in a flapper (I'm assuming she was.

this Asian guy who was in a divine cable knit.

Blogger Clarity said ... (7:28 PM) :

What an interesting man?

I wonder what you may do if you ever publish your photographs. It will have to be over several volumes.

Blogger Heiner said ... (9:34 AM) :

i am not sure about the stache, but otherwise a great outfit.
i like risky socks, as long as they are chosen carefully

Anonymous Georgia said ... (11:47 AM) :

I think this is Michael from the band S.I.T. & die Co. (http://www.sitanddieco.com/band.html ) who apparently maintains this awesome style all of the time.

Anonymous Richard said ... (11:07 PM) :

First time id ever seen a pair of socks make an outfit. great concept!

Blogger Pentito said ... (11:43 AM) :

That tie must be really short.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:49 PM) :

his band, s.i.t. and die co. really are the most amazing rockabilly band.

Blogger Bridey said ... (4:24 PM) :

This is how I imagine Jay Gatsby would look.
