Ah, perfection. Gents, take note of the sartorial details: the lovely gold pin the plucky kerchief, the straw boater, the daring tie, and lastly the slim portfolio.

Who is he?

Is it any wonder the word verification for this post is "ledope"? :)

This look certainly is le dope.

Blogger CW said ... (4:19 PM) :

Love the tie. Love the straw bucket hat and want to know where he got it. Think that it's too hot today for a double-breasted blazer but a pincord or seersucker single-breasted jacket would work better.

and NOT mass produced, which is always good :)

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:11 AM) :

Looks like a Burberry DB jacket from what I believe to be the equestrian knight on the gold buttons. I have the same.

The tie is Polo Ralph Lauren's interpretation of the timeless paisley pattern. I have the same.

One couldn't find a more masculine design for a tie and jacket.

The tie says: "I am man. I have the tadpoles."

The jacket says: "I am man. I could be a captain or a pilot."

I don't know what the hat says. I don't wear lids.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:17 AM) :

Further, great to see the elderly smiling. Verily I say unto thee, if there is but one duty expected of our elders it is to impart a sense of optimism and confidence upon the young.

The gentleman broadcasts inner and outer peace. Well done, Sir.

Anonymous Kozy Steyn said ... (6:26 AM) :

Hi There!

Here is the proud owner of copy 1723 of the bespoke edition of The Sartorialist Book. I read through the whole thing last night and felt like I was part of the book, since i have been following the blog since 2006 and remember many of the photos, where and when they were taken, the comments behind them. It was fun, it will be a book that I will treasure forever for it embodies my passion for clothes, but above all for personal expression.

On a side note, I know you said you didn't want to write much and would rather have people form their own opinions and be inspired their own way, BUT I loved reading your commentary, maybe you can write more on volume 2!

Flavia.
