The fluidity of her look is wonderful -- the dress, her hair, her walk her beautifully sleek figure. Stunning woman, beautiful shot.

I thought I was totally over bandage dresses, but this one is amazing! I like her discreet accessorizing, and the motion of the shot is gorgeous.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:24 PM) :

That dress is gorgeous! I want. I want now. Even if it does make me wanna hit the gym hardcore. If that's an elastic around her wrist, that's super cool. Not only is she stylish, but she's ready for anything.

Simplicity rules. A stunning dress, what very cool construction. And she wears it with grace, not taking away from the dress with accessories that are too distracting.

Blogger Alicia said ... (5:48 PM) :

great eye Sart.
the dress is so subtle and understated that I can hardly believe it's a leger. I mean, the hemline! It's almost MODEST! almost :P
and I hate to say it, but the car actually adds to the shot.
The slick shoes and shoulder play so nicely off the matte dress.

Blogger Joy Mars said ... (8:16 PM) :

One of the top shots on this site ever.

The dress and its wearer are remarkable enough, but the background of the shiny car and its windshield mirrors the dress's energy.

You've got to be lucky to be a great photographer. And you're lucky.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:34 PM) :

oh la la.

Blogger Unknown said ... (8:44 PM) :

i think i could wear this dress everyday for the rest of my life and be totally happy. perfection.

Blogger J. said ... (9:01 PM) :

For me, this photo is not about her. It's about all the light...

I love how the light just barely hits her hair. The light gliding on her shoulders and collar bone...the headlight of the car giving her thighs an unusual glow...this is absolutely my favourite photo of yours. Though you'll probably top this one again....!

beautiful...beautiful, beautiful photo!

Anonymous fanned said ... (9:03 PM) :

best photo ever on sartorialist.
luxury and privilege, sure.
but in this image, this gesture, this moment: all the possibility of the start of the evening.
the dream of discovering or, better still, inventing yourself by what you wear, how you stand, how you step into your own life.
...like a donatello, no?

thanks sartorialist.

I usually see something small that I wish was different. This is not one of those times. She's so beautiful and her emsemble is so tasteful that I only wish I'd been there, too.

Who is she? Where is she going?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:38 AM) :

i love this! the way the lines in the fabric of her dress emphasising her amazing muscle tone and the elegance of the headlight on her legs is so gracefull. she seems so out of place walking on the street. makes you wonder where she has just been or where she is going. my only minor complaint-she could have had a closed toe shoe.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:00 AM) :

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:47 AM) :

Wow. Love the shine of the car picked up by the shine of her shoes, the perfect dress length, the lack of accessorizing making this almost sporty, (if the bottom were pants she could be headed to yoga) and above all the simplicity of the shoes--put some bandage wrapped, overarticulated shoe with this and you've ruined the wonderful tonality of the dress and its simple bandage wrap. I like others have come to hate bandage dresses..til this.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:09 PM) :

And tattoo-free! What a relief!

Blogger PE_Feeds said ... (12:20 PM) :

Scott, PLEASE let me know if this is by Herve Leger!! If so, I plan to storm the store with my gf (who looks VERY similar to Zani - yes, I have every right to gloat about this)!!!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:52 PM) :

I too love the story the picture conveys. A beautiful woman in Manhattan, obviously successful (hence the Herve Leger) not over the top though. Strong, confident, gorgeous. Heading out for a night on the town not knowing what's in store for the night, but it's sure to be fabulous. Just looking at this photo with the gorgeous lighting, that early twilight between the buildings is perfectly captured here. I can almost feel the cool dry early fall air of that moment. Even without the woman it would be a great photo, but she is perfectly placed in it, makes it that much more amazing!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:54 PM) :

Wow - completely gorgeous - dress and execution! Thank you this!

Amazing dress - one of the best I've seen, well, ever. It looks so charming and elegant.

Blogger Unknown said ... (8:13 AM) :

the guy in the back's suit is throwing me off in this picture, not gonna lie. the dress is amazing, admittedly mainly because the person wearing it has the right curves to show it off - don't think for a second this would work on the average Jane Doe. But yeah, that suit in the background is killing the image as a whole somehow :/ Color scheme is there and all, just the cut leaves much to be desired. (steeper lapel, shorter jacket, narrow pant legs, waist taken in a tad, sleeves & legs shortened a tad - and i'm personally not the biggest fan of DB suit jackets, I guess it would work with some alterations though.)
