Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:56 PM) :

So sweet and fun! And I looooove that mermaid bag to bits!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:06 PM) :

i cannot describe in words how much i love love the outfit on the right

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:06 PM) :

does anyone know where the girl on the right's boots are from?

Blogger Kanani said ... (7:12 PM) :

I love everything about this shot.

Anonymous The Photodiarist said ... (7:21 PM) :

There's so much to look at here. The mermaid bag jumps out first, but then there are the cowboy boots, the textured argyle tights, the highlighted hair, the great anorak on the girl on the right . . . Great shot.

Blogger theDavid said ... (7:22 PM) :

Fun and kicky! But why do people in the UK insist on wearing cowboy boots as a "fashion statement"?..I'm sorry, I just find them cringe worthy. Thank God she's young and cute. Cowboy boots are for cowboys. Period. The end.

Blogger BlumeBloom said ... (7:22 PM) :

That mermaid bag, I love!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:32 PM) :

the bag... i NEED the bag.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:38 PM) :

i would kill for the dress of the girl on the right!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:46 PM) :

Too Helter-skelter for my taste.

Blogger Unknown said ... (7:59 PM) :

Love the tights, boots & bag!

Blogger Jane said ... (8:01 PM) :

That bag with the mermaid is lovely! Does anyone know where one could find something like that?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:12 PM) :

rush of prints!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:49 PM) :

Ahhhh, London...

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:53 PM) :

My first instinctive reaction was "ye gods, waaay too much!" until (probably 1/10 of a second later) I realized it was because I was thinking of them both as one person wearing ALL of those clothes. Separately I quite like them, and the tableaux is certainly picturesque, but I'm not sure they complement one another very well if you look exclusively at the clothes. (And obviously one does not expect them to have coordinated outfits in advance, I'm simply remarking not judging.)

Blogger Anna said ... (9:55 PM) :

Once again, AMAZING coloring

Anonymous Holly said ... (10:27 PM) :

I'm with Ramona who needs drugs when you have The Sartorialist!!! It's a good addiction! I love the cowboy boots and for the other pair, a very wearable motorcycle style...The OD green (which happens to be one of my favorite colors) oversized parka is needed here in Oklahoma...talk about a staple! You caught these life loving girls just doing their thing. Its very infectious!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:52 PM) :

Just goes to show how joy is the real path to beauty. The ensembles are lovely, but the laughter is the best accessory.

Blogger me. said ... (11:17 PM) :

i love how you have to stop and study each piece in this photo...i love the mixtures!

Blogger Nick Leonard said ... (11:23 PM) :

Love their expressions.

Blogger Kristina said ... (12:11 AM) :

I'd have to say, my favorite part of the whole menagerie is the hair; just gorgeous, tousled, and bright.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:29 AM) :

The bag, the bag, the bag, the bag, THE BAG.

Blogger *angelina said ... (12:47 AM) :

i really like the girl's ensemble on the left

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:58 AM) :

Love the way you captured her smile!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:24 AM) :

the outfit on the left is a mess. but so english. the girl on the right looks a bit like julie delpy. i do like the oversized coat & narrow neat short dress.

Blogger DANA BOULOS said ... (2:05 AM) :

Anonymous runway reviews said ... (2:40 AM) :

great photo. Happy face for a chat with a friend.
Vintage bag and jacket. Love the London style.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:46 AM) :

Can anyone identify the boots the woman on the R is wearing. They're a lovely, flattering, feminine biker boot. And, having thin calves I'm always looking for boots in which my legs aren't swimming. I love the length- not quite booties, not mid-length...perfect.

Label and where to find them?

Anonymous Cecylia said ... (2:58 AM) :

What a moment to capture! I love the relaxed atmosphere you have captured as well as the Mermaid bag!

Blogger sofiasophie said ... (3:56 AM) :

They are lovely. I loove her big bag, the colours, the shape....

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:28 AM) :

very much the contrary of quality, elegance, maturity, and refinement like in the best of milan.
it's just shabby and they can pull it of because of their age. looks fun, but sylish? no.

Blogger Soren Lorensen said ... (4:30 AM) :

Anonymous aurelie said ... (4:38 AM) :

Blogger miri davidovitz said ... (6:01 AM) :

I love the picture ,the girls and the clothes!
Is everyone in London now?

Anonymous Mopsy said ... (6:04 AM) :

Schuh is a shoe and boot store in the UK- they usually have a massive range of boots. I had a pair very like those in the picture from them. Sadly they fell to pieces but I loved them.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:48 AM) :

Their clothing delights the eye, as always, but what I love about this photograph is the liveliness captured. Friendship condensed. Lovely shot, Sart.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:37 AM) :

they are gap boots

Blogger V said ... (7:43 AM) :

the bag is amazing... and they''re both so beautiful

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:44 AM) :

i really want a coat like the one on the right!!!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:53 AM) :

'Dress' on the right is a tshirt from Top Shop

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:28 AM) :

Nobody is liking the cowboy boots now because they're not "in" but as soon as Vogue decries them cool, everybody who hated them will be buying a $3,000 pair. Are biker boots just for bikers? Jeans just for ranchers? Trenchcoats just for military officers?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:43 AM) :

To me this shot epitomizes a certain London style you see around Portobello Rd. The cowboy boots are great just not with the argyle tights...There was a big spread in July French Vogue, Daria wearing cowboy boots so I suspect they'll swing back into cool any day now.

Blogger Cheltenhamdailyphoto said ... (9:52 AM) :

Great, natural shot and lovely street fashion! Love the boots on the right.

love the bag!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:37 AM) :

I actually don't mind the boots at all. I quite like the pattern on them.

Blogger amalie said ... (1:48 PM) :

ohh that's cute. i loove it. i love the green coat on the girl to the right.

Anonymous Eva said ... (1:56 PM) :

Oh I have a pair of vintage cowboy boots and I'm pretty sure who ever made them had them in mind for dancing not riding horses... That green coat also reminds me of something one of my best guy friends wears everyday.

Blogger Joy Mars said ... (2:01 PM) :

The point here is that anyone can be "alternative" and cutting edge -- all they have to do is wear everything that totally doesn't match?

Anonymous WiND1 said ... (2:02 PM) :

Are those Tony Mora boots ??

Blogger thwany said ... (2:08 PM) :

i love all the textures.

Anonymous Kiran said ... (4:43 PM) :

Blogger esther said ... (5:45 PM) :

what i wouldn't do for those cowboy boots..

Anonymous Holly said ... (5:59 PM) :

One more comment...Cowboy boots never go out of syle in Oklahoma...Its not about whats instyle its how you make something sylish...Thats my story and I'm sticking to it! ;>)

Blogger Karen M. said ... (6:51 PM) :

Holly--I'm with you. Cowboy boots are a classic!

Blogger alexia. said ... (7:07 PM) :

where is the jacket from on the right?

Blogger Erin said ... (8:40 PM) :

That mermaid bag is FAB!

Blogger a.flower.at.fall.of.frost said ... (12:33 AM) :

I've been living in Texas for three years, and I've finally gotten used to seeing cowboy boots everywhere. Although, it amazes me to see people elsewhere wearing them as a fashion statement. I really want to buy a pair before heading to the state fair next month, but all the ones I like at the fun boot stores are so expensive (at least $400/pair). At least I live in one of the few parts of the world where cowboy boots will never go out of style!

Blogger Calin said ... (1:41 AM) :

the girl on the right's boots are the engineer by frye..i think. i just got them and they are amazing.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:14 AM) :

The boots on the right are by Gap, instore now. Love this shot!

Anonymous Eleanoora said ... (5:28 AM) :

Lord, why I ever left London.. I love the mixture of classic and experinmental people you can see there.

Blogger Ali B. said ... (8:56 AM) :

I do love that bag & do wish I could throw ANYTHING from my closet on my body & NOT have my friends & neighbors think I've gone mad. Maybe I care too much. hm.

I love those boots that the girl on the right is wearing.

Blogger clerk said ... (10:38 AM) :

I love the mermaid hair with the mermaid bag.

The mixed prints are hot!

And cowboy boots are one those items that can always be worn. If you are a cowboy, they are part of your life uniform. If you are not a cowboy, they are fun because they are dorky and amazing. And if you are wearing cowboy boots because they are in for that season, you are hopelessly, tragically hip.

Blogger jonathan said ... (12:09 PM) :

They look like they'd be a lot more fun to hang out with than the always-camera-ready folks we sometimes see here. Love the serious expression of the narrator in contrast to the enjoyment on the face of the listener. Great moment.

Anonymous sad eyed lady of the lowlands said ... (4:27 PM) :

Lovely laughter.

Another exaple of the unique and true London Style.

Only real londoners can pull this off.

Blogger Anastasia said ... (9:18 PM) :

great bag!! love its uniqueness...very London in look!nice natural shot...i want to know what they are discussing!

Anonymous Fair said ... (12:50 PM) :

The bag is one of the best things I've ever seen! I need it now! The other girl's dress is pretty cool too!

Blogger The Fabulous Spinster said ... (7:40 PM) :

captured the young london gals so well. they love their boots and boho look so much. the textures and prints are so wild and mixed. love it.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:45 AM) :

the woman on the right's dress is from topshop. love the feel of the photo, but the clothes are a little too hectic for my taste!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:42 PM) :

lovelovelove this, im drawn to the mixture of patterns and colours.

Blogger Helen said ... (6:23 PM) :

I absolutely, completely adore the outfit on the right, but they're both gorgeous.

Blogger Delphine said ... (4:04 AM) :

The combination of the several patterns of the woman on the left is absolutely amazing! Patterns that at first sight don't seem to match at all, make the perfect, daring combination of a striking personality with a great sense of style!
