Wonderful how the COLOR white almost acts as a texture...
this exemplifies perfectly my favorite thing about Italian fashion: making the unthinkable work in such a elegant way that when you see it you think "of course! well that makes sense" and then only after you realize how bold (if simple) the ensemble might be..! I LOVE it.

I'm not a fan of this look. It makes me think she just got home from Salsa dancing class and put on her painting clothes- but left the original shoes. Sometimes irony works, but I don't think so in this case.
Of course when you're that pretty, you can wear unattractive outfits and still look good.

We are presented with street fashion which, in real life, is at the mercy of the public who in turn form their opinion about what they see. The brave speak their minds; the weak conform. If we are to gain a true understanding of the public's opinion then your own should be welcomed not castigated.
Personally I believe she's gorgeous in a down-to-earth Italian way which I find irresistible. I love everything about her except for her ultra-thin frame and her jeans which are a straight derivative of jeans worn by American Harley riders of decades gone by. The American biker look I find detestable hence by osmosis, her jeans should be trashed.

The shoes are amazing, and they make the outfit, both by providing an extreme contrast with the clothes as well as by giving her a posture of a Disney fairy alighting on a flower. Are her fairy wings hidden behind her back?
The outfit works because she is so beautiful. It's a "don't try this at home" look. Holes in the jeans are horrid, unless they give a peekaboo at gorgeous gams. Plain white tee-shirt, whose sleeves don't even look finished? Yawn. The shoes and the lipstick are our cues that despite the very understated jeans/tee-shirt combo, she's no slob.

at first I didn't get the clothes with the shoes, but somehow it works and for me I think it's because the feathers sort of mirror the tatters on the jeans. I had a pair of actual old holey jeans from my boyfriend and I threw them away- what was I thinking?

The photo is so Botticelli Birth of Venus - a postmodern take. The lighting is amazing and the gold trees give her a beautiful halo. LOVE the jeans, mixed with her classic beauty and those fabulous, fabulous shoes.

The outfit works, especially for someone so thin. However, from the neck up - no no. Her hair, face, and lips really make her look like an old vampire, and an unattractive one. She needs only to open her mouth and flaunt her teeth to complete the look.
