on fire!

Blogger CW said ... (1:54 PM) :

Semi-punk from the 70s. BTDT. Time to grow the hair out to its natural color and do something original rather than reaching back to something that was considered freakish when it was new and throughout the 70s and early 80s when it was supposedly in vogue.

Blogger Unknown said ... (1:54 PM) :

Such a cool photograph...
Her hair color is amazing, and well the makeup the rings everything is just awesome×D
Great photo.

Blogger Kathleen said ... (2:58 PM) :

Great shot, London is so edgy. When I was in my twenties, my hair was just about this shade of red, shaved on one side with a long blond braid. Wow, I've really mellowed over the years. She is fantastic!

Blogger Unknown said ... (3:10 PM) :

LOVE. HER. RINGS.

Anonymous Jacob Frommer said ... (3:19 PM) :

Imagine if all cigarettes were swapped out for lollipops. What a world that would be.

Blogger SabinePsynopsis said ... (3:21 PM) :

This is nearly a bit like a late 70s London cliché - but great picture all the same!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:44 PM) :

This is so interestingly daring... I like her expression.

Blogger FASHION SNAG said ... (3:48 PM) :

Lollipops are SO much sexier than cigarettes!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:36 PM) :

Hair: she had dark hair, wanted red, became orange as the dark ones cannot turn red, even with the best hairdresser.

make up: love it!

Blogger Beth Lee said ... (4:53 PM) :

Sexy...la sucette...love it!!

Blogger davidikus said ... (5:26 PM) :

Good eye for the unusual. IMVO She looks like a stage fashionista: her style looks like a shield she uses to pretect and defend herself. That is why she uses so much make up, I think.

Well spotted!

Blogger mia said ... (5:44 PM) :

she's so freaking cool

Anonymous Charlotte said ... (5:53 PM) :

This is a nice portrait - her eye contact is wonderful and there is a real sense of character. That said, I don't think this is an interesting fashion/style photo, there are so many better examples of this look in London.

Anonymous C. said ... (6:05 PM) :

I love everything on this photo,
the energie which gets, the style, this intense red, the make-up...
Excellent photo, one of my favourites.

Blogger Maddie B. said ... (6:18 PM) :

This look perfectly captures the essence of the London look. Slightly grungy with major Punk overtones.

Fabulous.

Blogger Steve Schnier said ... (6:40 PM) :

If I had hair - that's the hair I would have.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (6:47 PM) :

I love the look she is giving. There is something deep and haunting about her eyes! Shes beautiful!

Blogger Unknown said ... (7:12 PM) :

Sometimes a bit of "in your face" fashion is fun. She clearly is not into subtlety and probably couldn't care less.

like a feline franka potente. her hair looks crimped. i had a crimping iron in the 80s. but i was never this cool! ;)

Anonymous princess glee said ... (2:21 AM) :

Never know what to think about punk. Just side-stepped it and looked at it curiously during the 80s. Kinda feel the same way about it now.

Is that Catherine McNeil (model)?

Great make-up on her wonderful eyes

Anonymous grizzlesnort said ... (11:48 AM) :

No longer original but not cliche, either....could we say classic punk? Hmmm: clear skin and good orthodontia; No visible multi-piercings or homemade tats. Maybe not, then? I like the stray dog fur coat. I hope it's real.

Blogger christina defalco said ... (12:20 PM) :

Harsh. Yet striking. On the edge yet sad like an orphan.

Nice shot.
