I think I have those shoes!

Anonymous Meadow said ... (1:09 PM) :

J'adore this look! Menswear is so awesome on women...makes me think of amazing ladies like Marlene Dietrich and Diane Keaton. Especially loving the hat and the oxfords...

She looks kind of scruffy, but then check out her nails, and you realize she's groomed. Love the bag though.

Blogger Tomás Esparza said ... (1:18 PM) :

She looks great, nice bag and hat

Blogger The Clever Pup said ... (1:18 PM) :

She sure looks like someone I worked with in the 90s. Dale - is that you?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:18 PM) :

I would love all of these pieces as separates. I think on her the proportions are making her look much shorter.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:23 PM) :

love the brogues or wing tips as theyre called here in the states. London has a few nice brands to choose from grenson to jeffery west.

Blogger Yeji Jun said ... (1:25 PM) :

I'm not crazy about the jumpsuit, or the overall proportions. Love the hat, shoes and bag, though. The jumper looks like pyjamas to me....

Blogger KC said ... (1:40 PM) :

to be honest, i think the combination is a bit weird. i don't think it's too flattering.

Masculine(the coat,the shoes)/Femenine(the bag)
Worker(boiler suit)/Bourgeois(the hat)
Nature colors(blue,green,brown)/Urban image
and perhaps a smile and a homage to the marvellous Jeanne Moreau in "Jules et Jim"(Truffaut,1961)

Blogger jack bespoke said ... (1:49 PM) :

the color palette of this whole outfit goes together so nicely, and oh boy that hat...

love the browns and blues.

bespok.

Anonymous William Yan said ... (1:53 PM) :

awesomeness!

Blogger Jonathan Burton said ... (1:55 PM) :

Awful. Looks like she's put on a pair of pyjamas and her boyfriend's accessories. Why are some London photos so bad? London has great fashion.

Blogger Baba said ... (1:56 PM) :

This looks like her dog or cat got out early one morning and she didn't have time to change before running out on the street in search of it.

Blogger Closet full of hopes and dreams said ... (1:58 PM) :

I am CRAZY about oxfords right now and hats ALWAYS! That jumpsuit is fab!

Anonymous Caroline said ... (2:04 PM) :

Oh, wow. Rough, but I love it.

Blogger FASHION SNAG said ... (2:11 PM) :

I love the jumpsuit!

She's a stylish mess, but what kills me are the accessories! The hat, bag and shoes are bananas!

Blogger Ladies of Leisure said ... (2:18 PM) :

I'm really not sure about this. No I am. It's dreadful.

Blogger Carly said ... (2:24 PM) :

I love the bag, this outfit i wouldn't have looked twice at but on her it seems to work.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:33 PM) :

Love it, very original!
@Jonathan Burton: London has great fashion, indeed! This is where it starts.

Blogger Julia said ... (2:35 PM) :

jumpsuits are just never going to convince me.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:36 PM) :

I love her style, especially the bag ... but I don´t like the blue & green combination (in my opinion)

Blogger Daniel said ... (2:41 PM) :

I have no idea how, but she really knows how to pull off that tartan jumpsuit! It would probably look hideous on anyone else.
Let's grow up later

Blogger meindabindi said ... (2:41 PM) :

Not. Trying too hard for irony.

Anonymous ME said ... (2:49 PM) :

MMMMMMM...... I DON´T GET IT!

Blogger Unknown said ... (2:50 PM) :

What is the bag? Anyone know?

Blogger C. Anne said ... (3:04 PM) :

Gentlemen's club dressing, love that hat. The look's quintessentially British!

Blogger Meg said ... (3:04 PM) :

Not seeing anything flattering about this ensemble, it looks like an effort made that I am not quite understanding. However, I do like the pieces just not as one look.

Blogger Decs said ... (3:13 PM) :

Looks like a YSL downtown bag (since someone asked). God bless Balenciaga and YSL for keeping bag styles in their line for a few years so that they don't "expire" one season later...

Blogger Unknown said ... (3:15 PM) :

Adore the shoes and the bag, have been craving for something like that...
the jumpsuit is cool as hell.
great shot

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:18 PM) :

hogwarts chic...believable great and what a delight thanks thanks thanks

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:46 PM) :

THE BAG? YSL!

BriBri

Anonymous Emily said ... (3:56 PM) :

I could appreciate many of these pieces separately, but she's attempting too many menswear-inspired pieces simultaneously. Subtlety is key.

Blogger Barbara von Enger said ... (3:59 PM) :

Actually, I adore this look. It's messy, casual and very individual.

Blogger Ame in DC said ... (3:59 PM) :

Huh? Don't get any of it.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:10 PM) :

only in britain

Blogger Unknown said ... (4:17 PM) :

Thanks for IDing the bag!

I wish I were as intrigued by the rest of her ensemble.

Blogger Ripped Jeans said ... (4:32 PM) :

so fab in menswear!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (5:01 PM) :

As someone else said, she is probably the only woman who could pull this off. Diane Keaton looked fabulous in menswear back in her Annie Hall days, and she still looks good today. But I doubt if even Diane could handle a jumpsuit as well as this lady does.

Anonymous Wrenaissance Art said ... (6:17 PM) :

Where's the jumper?
All I see is a boilersuit and a topper!
:-)

Anonymous a.w.e. said ... (6:32 PM) :

Whoever you are: will you marry my mind, body or spirit!?!

Anonymous endora said ... (7:38 PM) :

pijamas? seriously?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (8:12 PM) :

I'm a no on everything but the bag...

Blogger anthony said ... (8:43 PM) :

I think she has to decide whether she wants to look masculine or feminine. Androgenous she isn't, not with the zip unzipped. Right now she looks like a harlequin. Maybe she just needs to comb her hair and ruffle the hat.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:27 PM) :

Individually there are some good things here, put it all together and its bloody awful!

Anonymous Carol Caparelli said ... (9:32 PM) :

The combination of the jumpsuit and the coat is so unexpected!!!!!It looks like she just woke up and didn't worry too much about what to wear. It's a different style. I liked this daring combination!!!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (10:58 PM) :

Hm I agree I think I like these pieces separately... Something's missing.

Anonymous foshoko said ... (11:56 PM) :

major props for trying, but missed the mark in my opinion. i would have preferred pajamas a la D&G S09. everything else looks fab, though, and i appreciate the concept.

Blogger Jacq said ... (4:42 AM) :

I like the coat, the bag and the shoes, but the jumpsuit looks like a pair of pyjamas.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (7:33 AM) :

wot tha?!

Blogger joshylola said ... (8:57 AM) :

Great jumpsuit and shoes

Anonymous Middleseason said ... (9:29 AM) :

I love this woman! it's not easy to dress in this way. The risk is loosing the "feminine". But not in this case. A look for "a few happy".

Blogger Unknown said ... (11:43 AM) :

I like this look + the individual pieces: the jumpsuit, coat, accessories and I like the tartan fabric - all in all it looks comfortable and fun...

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (11:55 AM) :

looks like something out of the camps.

Blogger Susie said ... (12:16 PM) :

Awful. I wouldn't walk my dog in this. Its this sort of fashion I don't understand, what on earth makes this nice that some are saying they love it? Seriously? The jumpsuit thing doesn't really fit and its just old looking. The whole thing is just confusing to me.

A very HANDSOME and fashionable woman. She looks comfortable and tres chic!

Blogger Connie said ... (12:01 PM) :

Um... could I please have her bag?

The Heartbreak

Blogger Joe VDB said ... (7:13 PM) :

I love this... surprised it's getting such a hard time. I mean, should she have had the same shoe-boots every other woman does here? This is true personal style, not following a trend.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:06 AM) :

kid rock!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (9:22 AM) :

That is a great Jeremy Cushing outfit. I love it!!!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:41 AM) :

Lose the bracelets and it works. The groomed nails are absolutely necessary for this to work. What about a sleek chignon for the hair? Tied with a flower perhaps?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:52 AM) :

I love her quirkiness. I love that she dresses for her age and for her life today.
You know she will be an elegant womenin the future. Perhaps feature in someone's favorite vintage photographs in the decades to come ?
