I don't know, I just can't get into most Japanese style (clothing-wise). They mostly just look like frumpy monks. I reckon that it is nice to see a look that is quinessentially theirs though. It seems like most of Europe, U.K., and America the photos could be of people from any of these places.

I am absolutely in love with this. so simple, so easy; could be a very thought-through clothing choice for the day or the "style uniform" of which he puts on some version every morning. but whichever it is, those glasses and jewelry just make it so perfectly considered. the semi-precious/silver and the canvas give it sort of a native american flair too, which is cool and unusual.

tokyo is brilliant - love people-watching, especially at the starbucks in tsutaya book shop, ropponggi. its outdoors and everyone is so fabulously chic.
Nowhere in the world i have seen so many stylish people like in Japan.. If you have time, Kyoto is also definitely worth visiting..

Beautiful. I disagree with Davidikus when he says that all white is boring. I think that it is simply gorgeous but the touches of blue do make it even more so.

great picture. like all the japan pictures so far, none of them are really posing for the camera or are poseurs. japanese are aware of who they are, even if they often hide behind clothes and the character they choose to project. no westerner can understand this and usually stick to the usual harajuku, roppongi stereotypes...

This is your best Tokyo pic so far. The other ones are too "Fruits" (magazine) as if you were just looking for the craziest outfits you could find that day, which in Tokyo is not hard to do. Overall, underwhelmed with your Tokyo pics but keep them coming. If you can find it check out OLD HAT in Harajuku off Meiji Dori, about 20 feet from the Levis store on the 3rd floor behind Teddy Burger, it will be one of the most intense and awesome mens vintage stores you'll ever see.
Great outfit (white with just a splash of navy blue- such a timeless yet refreshing combination), but, more importantly, what a remarkable face! Without the glasses I could see him starring in a Japanese version of the "The Old Man and the Sea"

Oh, love this look! This is more like the Tokyo I remembered - or chose to remember. He's universally stylish yet distinctive as an individual. He doesn't try to be weird-different (weird enough to be on a Japanese game show).
I like Tokyo fashion so much. Because it's really fun to see how they dressed up, we can smell freedom from them and their fashion makes me smiling! =] They are not the same as Europeans and others. What making them cool is they are just being by themselves not copying others. It's really important.

Hello, I have a question that I hope you see this comment to answer:
When you go around the streets of the different countries, and you see someone that you want to take a picture of, how do you approach them? Do you tell them who you are? Do you hand them some kind of form, explaining who you are? Or do they generally agree to get their photo taken because they're flattered that you're inspired by their outfit?
There are moments when I'm inspired by what people wear, and I want to take a picture of them, but I don't want to appear as creepy. Suggestions please. Thanks.

Love all white! The way I see it the accessories are representing the elements surrounding the white as Air, the turquoise as Water the red on his neck as Fire and the cobalt blue cap as Earth. He has achieved a crisp energized look.

This man is HOT from head to toe, I love to see tonality taken to the extreme, then finished off with the perfect accessories. I sometimes feel like a fish out of water, because I've always dressed this way. Black, charcoal, grey, chocolate, brown, tan, taupe, beige, cream, slate, white AND a ton of fabulous accessories. This gentleman makes me feel right at home! The simple pure cotton from head to toe topped with the blue beanie, and the native stone almost "hippie" kind of jewelry is so slick. Love it!
