All white is the best look. He looks like he owns a thousand luxury yachts and doesn't give a hoot about it.

This was for a spread right? Nobody is this relaxed in real life.

Blogger Kathleen said ... (1:10 PM) :

Okay Sean Connery, get out of the way! I am in love, and leaving for Florence as soon as possible. Wow, this man is absolutely gorgeous from is flowing silvered locks and beard to his classic shades. Love the white from head to foot. White espadrilles? How many MEN can pull this off and not go in the other direction? I'm counting maybe on one hand and definitely not in the USA. Casual elegance to the max!

Blogger ABBY said ... (1:13 PM) :

comb in the pocket?

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (1:16 PM) :

I love white on white for summer, it never tires for me. His white espadrilles especially are a nice touch. When men make an effort with their footwear, I know the rest is going to look good too.

Anonymous Jason said ... (1:16 PM) :

Is that the most interesting man in the world? Where is his Dos Equis? :)

Epitome of class

Blogger Caddy said ... (1:31 PM) :

He looks great in white, so casual, fresh and chic. I love how he just pulls of those white pants with such ease as if there's nothing to it.

Blogger AG said ... (2:28 PM) :

Anybody else notice the "Die" by his head? interesting contrast.

Going to look for some espadrilles.

Blogger reina.ambar said ... (2:49 PM) :

So simple, so pure... the mediterranean essence...

Blogger The Vegaran said ... (2:50 PM) :

This is a gorgeous man! Actually any man who can wear all white with that much elegance is gorgeous. Even the beard works... I've got to get me one of them tans.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (2:53 PM) :

Classic and chic. Not everybody looks good all in white, he looks interesting

Blogger Joe said ... (2:53 PM) :

This guy looks like one of Umit Benan's models.. but I don't think he is. Is he ?

Blogger Taylor said ... (2:55 PM) :

If you didn't tell us this was taken in Florence, I might have been able to guess it just by looking at this guy, leaning against that stone wall. I wish people in America looked like this...

Thanks for sharing this great photo

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:42 PM) :

Reminds me of Rene Mathis, the retired super-secret-agent, from James Bond movies.

Or, as Luis said, Umit Benan models.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (3:44 PM) :

It's amazing how dressing so simply and great grooming can make one look fabulously wealthy.

LOL this could totally be some guy sitting outside of Cafe Italia in south philly. Except he's not in a beach chair.

Is this the model for Umit Benan? Anyone know? Umit's Turkish, but I believe he lives in Italy...

Blogger Unknown said ... (4:34 PM) :

Stay thirsty, my friends.

Blogger MeganRose said ... (4:54 PM) :

Very sexy man.

Blogger CW said ... (4:58 PM) :

Like the photo and the style. However, white pants are impractical. They show everything. A natural linen or slightly tan cotton trouser will hide some dirt. You'll be able to wear them at least twice before you'll have to wash them.

Anonymous Arash Mazinani said ... (4:58 PM) :

white on white is always refreshing. just be sure not to get too much of a tan to offset this monotone palette.

Blogger KC said ... (10:07 PM) :

white espadrilles... so hard to maintain but just wonderful to wear.

NOUVEAU SKIN

Anonymous YogaSpy said ... (10:50 PM) :

Growing up in Hawaii, we wore white T-shirts or white Keds or white shorts... but never all at once. One day, when I was a teen, I saw a suntanned blonde tourist (another teen girl) dressed all in white, head to toe. I thought she looked fantastic, straight out of Seventeen magazine.

But could I have tried that to high school? No way! An all-white get-up would've looked idiotic among the locals.

You need the right context to pull off the all-white look (plus a tan).

Blogger fidele said ... (11:34 PM) :

that's the sexiest old guy ever to grace a fashion photo.

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (4:21 AM) :

....and we're back! finally! I was heart sick with the clownishness of japan (it doesn't take "style" to dress like a clown), the"any ole' thing'll do" of OZ..and now the cowboys of russia..oy vey!

and then, and then...sigh, here he is in all his italian dna, in white espedrilles! Fellow Sarters, kids...it's the rich, wrinkled fabric, the almost "who cares" 'tude (even if it was the stylists')..as he rolled out of bed, grabed what was on the floor and a smoke, and headed for his caffe.
i've been sooo jonesin' for al bazar, gino, the "annas", giovanna, the Grace kelly in milano...the bike boys, the lovely Milanese lady with "sparkle".
Poor Sart...you travel/work so hard for us..and all i could think on this romp was.."lordy, will the Italians ever Back"??? there is a god, and He's wearing wrinkled whites and espadrilles in Firenze!

Blogger @nnoushka said ... (4:49 AM) :

Wow! miam! vivement l'été! You desperately want summer and white heat looking at that pic!

Anonymous Liv said ... (4:52 AM) :

Anonymous alexa said ... (12:00 PM) :

looks like giancarlo gianini, as someone noticed above!!!

Anonymous Anonymous said ... (12:15 PM) :

Is this a real person living now? Hahaha. Hard to believe someone would dress this chic. He looks like a modern Cary Grant, to me. And when you investigate what he is wearing it looks as comfortable as the casual/sloppy clothes most people wear today but so much more appropriate. Inspiring.

Blogger Laguna Beach Fogey said ... (1:49 PM) :

I hope I look and act this way when I reach this young gentleman's age.

Certain age does not very often go with being cool & steady & easy at the same time. On the other side of scale there is very often a "stiff" glamour of wearing well done suits...

I LOVE THE WAY HE LOOKS!!!

i can't even handle how much this man is stunnin'! carefree beautiful style!

Blogger Sara said ... (3:55 PM) :

i love this!
years ago i worked with a guy who lived in west london, worked in central london, & used public transport in between the two - on the days when he wore white he would arrive at work 7.30 (9am start) in order to minimize the possibility of his outfit getting dirty on the way through contact with other people..
